Case Description:
Ms. Tang Xingyun, 65, from Shenyang City, was arrested by police officers from Shashan Police Station on March 10, 2007. At the police station, ten policemen shocked her with eight electric batons and Ms. Tang died on the spot. On March 13, 2007, during the funeral, over thirty policemen surrounded Ms. Tang's home. They said to her family in a threatening manner, "You can only tell others that she died because she fell down when selling fruit. If you tell people the truth, the whole family will be detained!"
