The Oneworld week at Nottingham University in the UK lasted several days and highlighted different themes each day. Tuesday was "Global Justice day" aimed at informing Nottingham students about human rights violations and environmental issues. Many students were interested in the Falun Dafa booth, which was calling for the release of Zhu Bao-Lian and Zhu Yongjie, who are both illegally imprisoned in China for practising Falun Dafa. These female practitioners are the sister and fiancée respectively of two UK practitioners.

The call for the release of both Bao-Lian and Yongjie is part of a worldwide family rescue campaign effort to obtain the release of all the illegally detained family members of Dafa practitioners. Amnesty International was also at the fair, and they expressed their support for the campaign, stating that we need to let the Chinese authorities know that the world is watching their actions. They also asked practitioners to bring the family rescue cases to their weekly meetings.

On Friday, Falun Gong took centre stage at the "Peace and Tranquillity" event, which was a huge success. Many students watched and learned the beautiful exercises, and they were amazed that no money was involved. One person commented when she entered the room that the Dafa music was incredibly powerful. The event organisers said that the atmosphere was so peaceful that they didn't want to leave. But the highlight of the day was two Chinese students who requested information about local Falun Dafa classes. Even though it was a small-scale activity, those who came responded with pure hearts and enjoyed the event.
