(Clearwisdom.net) There is a Falun Gong group exercise site located in Ching-chi Park, a new park next to Ching-Chi National Elementary School. It is very interesting that the shape of the park looks just like a person doing the second exercise of Falun Gong. The monthly large group exercise is in Ching-chi Park too because it has plenty of space and is located at a busy area. It has become the focus of attention for passersby when close to one hundred people do the exercises together.
Weekly Fa-study
Group exercise starts at 6:25 every morning. Site assistant Ms. Jiang said, "This group exercise site was established on May 1, 2004. We do exercises in the covered walking shelter, so we aren't affected by the weather. We study the Fa and share our experiences after meditation every Friday. We say whatever we want to say and share with each other about our cultivation experiences.
The oldest in this group is Mr. Lu, in his sixties. He had an interesting story:
A Falun Gong practitioner lives on the first floor of Mr. Lu's building. A Falun Gong banner had always been on his neighbor's door but Mr. Lu didn't notice it. One day, Mr. Lu's son, who lives in the U.S., came to visit. A Falun Gong practitioner met him on the airplane and gave him the book Zhuan Falun. He started reading it immediately and finished half of the book. He was greatly touched. When he arrived at his parents', he was surprised to find there was a Fa-study site on the first floor of the very same building. The whole family has started practicing Falun Gong since then.
Mr. Lu's son returned to the United States after two weeks, but Mr. Lu continued to go to Ching-chi Park to do the exercises. He almost gave up at first because of the discomfort of sitting with his legs crossed. With others' encouragement and his self-improvement, he held on. Now he is the first person to show up at group exercise every morning.
Everyone at the Ching-chi Park exercise site has many stories. If you happen to stop by, please join them. You will have a beautiful experience!
