Chinese Traditional Medicine Doctor: The Drums Shake Heaven and Earth
Dr. Gu Zhonghua runs a Chinese Medicine and Massage Center. She came from mainland China and believes that she was predestined to be able to watch the DPA show in Korea. She watched it last year, and she said, "This is all due to my ancestors' accumulated virtue... All the programs were good, and I cannot tell which one is the best. The first piece, 'The Five Millennia Begin' seems like it was meant to wake people from their deep sleep with the drums shaking heaven and earth."

Divine Performing Arts created three-dimensional imaging on the backdrop with high-tech design, which perfectly harmonized with the stage performance. Dr. Gu said with admiration, "The backdrop was just so beautiful, like we were in the heavens." She bought tickets for all her employees in the Center to share such a pleasurable experience. She said sadly, "If DPA could go back to China, that would be better. The Chinese people can be educated by the show, and they will be moved."
Ms. Park from Jilin Province: Gods and Heavenly Beauties Came Toward Us
Ms. Park came from Jilin Province over a year ago. She tearfully said, "I thought I would never see such a performance; I was so surprised that I could watch such a show in Korea. I am very excited and very happy. The most moving piece was the program in which the police beat a man and his daughter cried over his body ('Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution'). How can the mother and daughter live without him? When the gods came to get him, it was so moving."
Ms. Park continued, "My friend introduced me to this show. I was reluctant to come at first, but the show was unexpectedly good! The dancers' costumes were like heavenly beauties' clothes. The scenery made me feel like the surroundings came alive. My daughter is an artist. She has often painted heavenly beings in their garb. I saw today's backdrop, and it felt like those gods and fairies were walking towards me."
I Want All My Friends to Come
Ms. Park sighed at the end of the interview, "We have heard about China's five thousand years of civilization, but I really saw it today. I feel so different spiritually after watching the show. I want all my friends to come watch tomorrow. If this could be performed in China, so many people could see and remember our traditional culture. This is how five thousand years of culture has been passed down. Folks in China still care about these things deep down inside. We have so many friends here from Jilin Province, but they do not know about this show. I hope all of them come tomorrow!"
Changed Airline Ticket to Watch DPA
Ms. Lin came from mainland China for business. She pushed her flight back by two days in order to enjoy the Divine Performing Arts show. She said, "It was my luck to have such an opportunity to watch the DPA show because there is no such show in China. I heard that DPA is very famous overseas, and it promotes Chinese traditional culture, so I really wanted to watch it. I was very moved by this show. The costumes were very pretty and colorful, and the performers matched the backdrops perfectly; it felt so real! Heavenly scenes were truly presented in front of my eyes. I felt that the heavens and earth were so close. I was so surprised to see the celestial world that I never dared to imagine. How eye-opening!"
Ms. Lin expressed again and again, "I hope to see DPA in China in the future... I am so proud and lucky to see our traditional culture being so welcomed in the world. I hope one day soon in China, all Chinese people can watch the DPA show. It will benefit the stability of society and virtue will be resurrected."
This is Genuine Chinese Culture
A young teenager surnamed Park came from China five months ago, and he watched the show with his mother. Both mother and son were stunned, "This is genuine Chinese culture!"
Young Mr. Park said, "All the programs were outstanding. 'Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution' told a story in China, and it was so real, but it can only be seen on stage overseas. I feel sorry for the mainland Chinese people who cannot watch the show. The opening piece, 'The Five Millennia Begin,' was the first time I have heard such powerful drums; I was deeply shaken. The 'Monk Ji Gong Abducts the Bride' was very interesting. My mother and I both laughed."
His mother said, "The dances and backdrops were like poetry and paintings, and they fully displayed the Chinese people's thousands of years of traditional culture." Tenor Mr. Guan Guimin's singing also deeply touched her: "His voice is not only marvelous, but the inner meaning is profound as well."
Mr. Guan Guimin was a top level performer in China. His song "Let Me Not Regret" won the heart of audience members. People called, "Encore! Encore!" so Mr. Guan sang another song.
