(Clearwisdom.net) The Shen Yun Performing Arts Show is a display of beauty and compassion based on traditional Chinese culture. With gorgeous classical costumes, a three-dimensional backdrop, highly-skilled Chinese classical dancers, a combined eastern and western orchestra, and songs that emphasize the purity of life, firmness of faith, and respect and praise for gods, DVDs of the show have attracted a huge audience in China (where the show is unable to be seen live on stage). Many people were inspired as they watched the performance. Distributing Shen Yun DVDs, I've encountered many, deeply moving stories. Below are some of the stories that I'd like to share with you.
"If it is good, we want to see it."
One morning, I was talking to two sisters (clothing vendors in a market) about the Shen Yun shows and was about to give them the DVD, when a man selling bedding next to us added, "This is truly a great show. I watched it many times already. Nothing will happen. Don't worry." Another man on the other side of us said, "Is this show made by Falun Gong?" Before I could answer, the bedding vendor said, "If it is good, we want to see it." The sisters then happily accepted the DVD. I gave another DVD to the bedding vendor so that he could pass it on to others.
"It was a great show and I was looking for it."
I was waiting for a bus when two women from the countryside started a conversation with me. I asked them whether they had DVD players, because I wanted to give them a DVD with the Shen Yun shows. The older woman was elated and said, "What a coincidence! I heard about this great show in my village, and have been looking for it." As I handed them the DVD, their bus arrived. This arrangement by Master is truly miraculous.
"Stop. Don't go away."
One evening, I went to my sister's home. Along the way, I saw a worker resting on the roadside, so I went over to give him a Shen Yun DVD. Five or six men were walking towards us. I turned around and quickly went back to my bicycle. As I was getting on my bike, someone behind me shouted, "Stop. Don't go away." I felt very uneasy, but I stopped. As they came closer to me, they said, "Do you have more DVDs? We'd like to have some too." Tears were about to fall from my eyes. Sentient beings were looking for the truth, and I allowed fear to overtake me.
Many sentient beings came from heaven and are looking for the truth to save them. We must do everything we can to help save them.
