(Minghui.org) The Lingyuan City Court of Liaoning Province recently approved the arrest of Falun Gong practitioner Mao Yongchun, an action required before putting him on trial.

Mr. Mao and his wife Jia Liying were arrested at their home by Zhao Fengchen, Zhang Liping and other Domestic Security officers on November 10, 2015. The officers ransacked their home and seized belongings valued at over 10,000 yuan. Ms. Jia was detained at the Xidaying Detention Center for 15 days, while Mr. Mao has been detained at the Lingyuan Detention Center for more than a month.

Mr. Mao had previously been arrested in 2008 for installing a satellite dish in his home to circumvent the regime's censorship of news.

After his release, Mohudian police returned to harass him. Twelve officers broke into his home and tried to take him to a forced labor camp. He escaped after a three-hour struggle and had to stay away from home for the next three years to avoid arrest.

In 2000 and 2003, Mr. Mao was repeatedly arrested, detained, and held in forced labor camps for practicing Falun Gong.
