(Minghui.org) My employer told me in May 2017 that I was required to provide a certificate that I had no criminal record. Unfortunately, I was blacklisted by the local public security bureau because I practice Falun Dafa.
When I was first blacklisted, I was barred from leaving the country. But I appealed to the bureau and succeeded in having this illegal restriction lifted three years ago.
I brought in a letter of introduction from my company and an identification (ID) card to apply for the certification at a police station. I filled out a form and gave it to a female clerk.
After she looked at it, she lowered her voice and spoke with her colleague, then took my form to another office. I waited for 10 minutes before I checked with the male clerk to see when she would be back. He told me to just wait, but I had to return to work.
I gave them a call and was informed that I could pick up the certificate on Saturday. I met the female clerk, who told me to return the coming Monday because her supervisor wanted to speak with me.
I treated it as a good opportunity to clarify the truth to them.
That Monday, I brought in some informational materials about Falun Dafa with me. I walked into the police chief’s office, and he politely invited me to take a seat.
I first asked him, “Is this room under surveillance?”.
He said it wasn't and added, “We know you used to practice Falun Dafa. You still do, don’t you?”
I said: “Falun Dafa is an advanced Buddha cultivation way. It is not a cult. As an insider, you should know that Falun Dafa is not on the list of the 14 cults put out by the public security ministry. In addition, many lawyers know Falun Dafa practitioners have been wronged and have successfully pleaded not guilty on their behalf.
“Many judicial authorities declined to accept any case related to Falun Dafa because they knew practitioners were innocent. Taking myself as an example, our general manager, a foreigner, always praised me in public and said that I was the company's most trusted employee.”
The chief listened carefully to what I had to say. At last, he said, “It is fine for us to write a certification for you, but we will add a note saying you are a Falun Dafa practitioner.”
I told them that I did not object, especially since my employer knew that I practiced Falun Dafa. He once said, "In our county, a lot of people practice Falun Dafa in public, and it is well received by local residents.”
I went out and told the female clerk that her supervisor had agreed to issue me a certificate. She was very surprised and went to see her supervisor to confirm it.
I finally got the certificate.

“Clarifying the truth is the master key. They win people over with money and incentives, which are all ordinary people's things, and they only last temporarily. Yet what you give them are things that have to do with their eternal existence, and the beings on Earth all exist for this event. Don't undervalue what you're doing.
