(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa for 23 years and I am able to recite parts of the Fa. Unknowingly, I sometimes spoke out words from the Fa without saying where they came from. I later realized that this was very disrespectful of the Fa and the Master of Falun Dafa.
Master said:
“When people show the appropriate respect and reverence toward Dafa as it manifests here in this world, they, their race, or their nation will enjoy blessings or honor.” (“Lunyu” from Zhuan Falun)
I was not displaying sincerity or showing respect for the Fa and displayed the attachment of showing off. I often thought that I was studying and understanding the Fa better than others. I asked myself if reciting the Fa was just for fun? With a character like mine, how could the Fa principles manifest?
Cultivating as I Did at the Beginning
I came to realize just how selfish, ignorant, and shallow I was.
A new understanding of Master's teachings then showed itself. We should cultivate ourselves as we did at the beginning of cultivation practice. I started to study the Fa as if I had just entered the door of cultivation without understanding anything. I was like a primary school pupil holding a blank sheet of paper.
I took every word and sentence to heart while studying the Fa. In my daily cultivation, I recall Master's teachings about a particular issue on different occasions when needed. By doing so, I can understand the Fa principles from the Fa and have a deeper understanding of the book Zhuan Falun.
I am like a sponge in the state of cultivating myself as I did at the beginning - absorbing all of the Fa that I can. Only by constantly understanding ourselves, changing ourselves, and cultivating ourselves according to Dafa's principles can we truly improve and save sentient beings with our truth-clarification.
Helping to Rescue a Fellow Practitioner
When I learned that practitioner Ms. Zhang [alias] had been arrested, I did everything I could to help rescue her, along with other practitioners.
After hearing that Ms. Zhang's daughter couldn’t afford a lawyer, I discussed this with other practitioners and decided to clarify the facts to the relevant persons face to face.
I spoke with one official who was dealing with Ms. Zhang’s case, who said, “I can't do anything about it as she must be sentenced to prison. Ms. Zhang was detained in a forced-labor camp in 2006. Now she has committed the same crime again!”
The official continued, “She handed Dafa materials to passersby, and this is evidence. A large number of Dafa books were also found in her home.”
“Those books were all legally published,” I replied. “It doesn't matter how many books you found. How can you count them as evidence?”
He was becoming impatient and asked us to leave. His last words were, “Just wait for her to be sentenced.” Someone then came to discuss something with him, from which I learned his name.
While talking to the daughter of the arrested practitioner, I deliberately spoke in a loud voice so that the man handling the case could hear me. I said, “Please don’t worry too much. I've discovered that the man who is handling your mother’s case is kindhearted and looks like a good person.”
I continued speaking loudly and called out this man’s name. I told him, “It looks like you are a good person, so please deal with the case kindly. If Ms. Zhang didn’t practice Falun Dafa, she would have died a long time ago. Compassion is common to all men.”
I didn't expect things would change so dramatically, but we later received a phone call from the man handling the case, informing us about Ms. Zhang. She returned home safely that evening.
Such a major change in just a few hours made us feel that the Buddha Fa is boundless and everything is decided by Master. I just clarified the facts to the officials involved in Ms. Zhang’s case and was not affected by how they had reacted to my words.
Master said:
“Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos’s Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples’ rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings’ thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that’s how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness.” (“Also in a Few Words” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
With Master looking after me, I have always been walking on the path towards Godhood with a smile on my face.
Clarifying the Facts to the Police and the Courts
During the process of rescuing detained practitioners, we often went to police departments and other public offices to clarify the facts to the people working there. We were not disturbed by what they said, knowing that it was Master who asked us to go there to help save them.
We told them about the Falun Dafa with compassion. From our own heart, we were disintegrating the evil factors controlling them and harming them. Nothing could change our kindness to save them.
Three of us practitioners went to the Domestic Security Division to clarify the facts.
One practitioner said, “How many criminal cases have you handled? Have you found any Falun Dafa practitioners stealing? We have been persecuted for so many years. Have any police been harmed by Falun Dafa practitioners?”
The second practitioner followed, “Our relative has the right to have freedom of belief that is granted by the Constitution. They are not breaking the law or committing any crimes.”
“I hope you will not arrest Falun Dafa practitioners in the future, the third practitioner added. “The police should arrest bad people, not good people.”
The domestic security personnel accepted the materials we provided and were very polite in seeing us off.
The police told us that they would not add their own information to the case, and in the end, the District Public Prosecutor’s Office refused to accept the case.
Along with fellow practitioners, I have clarified the facts to the public prosecutor's office many times over the years, and many police officers are aware that Falun Dafa practitioners are good people.
I would also like to thank fellow practitioners overseas for their cooperation. Police officers have shown me their cell phones, pointing to the phone calls they received from overseas practitioners. One officer said, “We have received so many of them!”
We have recently been to the Public Prosecutor's Office where the prosecutor is also returning a case about a Falun Dafa practitioner. We said to him, “As a person, you should have a conscience and can tell right from wrong. This arrested practitioner is a good person who respects her parents. The persecution against her has been a heavy blow to the family. Her mother is over ninety years old and has been hospitalized twice because she can't see her daughter. She calls her daughter's name every day, which is very sad.”
The prosecutor was very sympathetic, saying, “I am in the process of returning the case.”
Although the persecution still continues, and people who don't know the truth about Falun Dafa are still framing practitioners, my will is even stronger, and not affected by any external factors. As always, I will carry on and accomplish my mission in history.
