(Minghui.org) A Tianjin resident was arrested on September 29, 2019 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

The police attempted to open the door of Ms. Han Yuxia’s home with a drill. After they failed, they ordered a locksmith to unlock her door. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and related materials. She is currently detained at Wushuidao Detention Center.

For practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Han’s family, including herself, her husband, and her daughter, have been repeatedly arrested and incarcerated in the past 20 years.

Prior to her latest arrest, Ms. Han had been arrested five times. She served three and a half years in Banqiao Women’s Forced Labor Camp and another three and a half years in Tianjin Women’s Prison.

The guards once hung her up on a door frame for seven days. By the time she was let down, her feet were severely swollen and she was unable to walk. Other forms of abuse she suffered included being forced to sit on a small stool for long hours without moving, made to do intensive unpaid labor, and restricted in restroom use.

Ms. Han’s husband, Mr. Guo Deyou, has been arrested three times. He served three years in Banqiao Forced Labor Camp and five years in Gangbei Prison. He was also forced to sit a “small stool,” do intensive labor, watch propaganda videos slandering Falun Gong, and write monthly thought reports.

Ms. Han’s daughter, Ms. Guo Chengru, has been arrested four times. She was given two forced labor camp terms for a total of three and a half years and two prison terms for a total of eight years. She was still serving a five-year term at Tianjin Women’s Prison during her mother’s latest arrest.
