December 06, 2019 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Ma Fengju still feels very weak and has difficult breathing, two months after she was slapped in the face and beaten by the police.

Ms. Ma, a resident of Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province, was arrested on September 25, 2019 for distributing information about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

While interrogating Ms. Ma at Yaozhan Police Station, two officers ordered her to give fingerprints, and they slapped her hard in the face and head dozens of times when she refused to comply.

Ms. Ma was sent to Fushun Detention Center the next day. A guard there slapped her in the face during the required physical examination. She later began to experience high blood pressure, headache, dizziness, and frequent vomiting. The guards refused to release her and kept abusing her, including restricting her use of the restroom.

Her younger sister recently went to the police station to demand her release, only to be shouted at and harassed by the police chief.
