Police in Hebei Province Persecute 15 Practitioners Within Three Days

February 11, 2019 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) The police in Shenzhou City, Hebei Province ransacked the homes of 15 Falun Gong practitioners and arrested five of them within three days. They seized practitioners' personal belongings, including computers, printers, MP3 players, Falun Gong books, and informational pamphlets.

Practitioners Genshen, Yanju, Hanlin, and Dongzhan had their homes ransacked the morning of January 9, 2019.

Practitioner Dai Pengpeng's home was ransacked in the afternoon. Dongzhan and Pengpeng were arrested and detained in the Shenzhou City Detention Center. Dongzhan's wife was taken to a prison in Shenzhou City and incarcerated for 15 days.

Four officers from the Shenzhou City Police Department went to Ms. Sun Li's home and seized her computer and printer. They arrested Ms. Sun and took her to the Hengshui City Detention Center where she was interrogated. The police attempted to force her to admit to breaking the law, but she refused because she had done nothing wrong. At one point, the officers dragged her by the hair and hit her on the head with a cell phone. Her family has hired a lawyer to defend her.

Police arrested practitioner Zheng Cangzhen from Donganzhuan Village and ransacked his home on January 10.

An officer attempted to tear down pictures at a practitioner's home before being stopped. He then slandered Falun Gong. The practitioner showed him legal documents and explained that Falun Gong books were no longer banned. The officer abruptly left.

Several police officers tried to seize books and Master Li Hongzhi's picture (the founder of Falun Gong) from another practitioner's home. The practitioner sent forth the righteous thought: “Stop!” The officers gave up their effort.
It should be noted that some of the village officials leaked information to practitioners beforehand in order to help them avoid being persecuted.
