Finland: Ongoing Peaceful Protest Outside the Chinese Embassy

April 04, 2019 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Finland

(Minghui.org) Ever since the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) initiated the persecution of Falun Gong, its practitioners in Finland have been protesting. They gather every day near the Chinese embassy to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises, hold banners, and distribute information to let people know that this practice is being persecuted in China.

Falun Gong practitioners demonstrate the exercises outside the Chinese Embassy in Finland.

Pedestrians and people driving by can easily see the banners and practitioners demonstrating the exercises. Because of their ongoing presence, more and more people now understand Falun Gong and have voiced their support for the efforts to raise awareness of the persecution. Even the local police greet practitioners or wave to them.

People Express Their Sympathy

A Chinese lady stopped to talk after leaving the embassy. When a practitioner handed her a newspaper, the lady said, “I've been paying attention to you Falun Gong practitioners, and I see you come here every day. It's so hard to be so diligent!” She agreed to quit her membership in the Young Pioneers, a CCP youth organization.

A young Chinese man told a practitioner, “I know Falun Gong well. I believe your media, which tells the truth.” He quit his membership in the CCP Youth League.

A Chinese man drove his friend to the embassy to apply for a visa. He stopped and took a copy of The Ultimate Goal of the Communism.

A Bulgarian man who works nearby pointed to a banner describing the CCP’s atrocities and said, “I know firsthand how evil the communist party is.”

He explained that his uncle was persecuted by the communist party in Bulgaria. His family’s property was taken and he was sent to a labor camp. He said, “What you are doing is very important.”

A nearby resident walking with her granddaughter stopped and said, “I know that Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted very badly in China. You are doing a good job. I hope that everyone can see this so they'll know about the persecution.” She said, “My children are going to travel to China. I will tell them about the persecution.”
