In order to help her understand Falun Dafa better, I bought some produce from her with two five-yuan bills that had the Chinese characters for “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” inscribed on them. I then told her the actual situation regarding the practice and the persecution, notably the importance of people knowing the value of the characters written on the money.

I also emphasized the importance of withdrawing from the Communist Party, which she decided to do.

When I met her for the second time, she took out the bills that I gave her the previous time. “I've hesitated to spend this money,” she said with a smile.

“Then you should keep it well,” I said. “It is very precious.” I also gave her a Shen Yun DVD and recommended she watch it with her friends and family.

The third time I saw her, we were like long-lost friends. She held my hands and greeted me warmly: “My whole family watched the Shen Yun DVD during the Chinese New Year. It was great. I passed on one of the bills you gave me to my son. He is sick and can't be cured.”

I asked her about his symptoms.

“He has a headache, dizziness, and vomiting, and he often faints," she said. "He was hospitalized for ten days, which cost 12,000 yuan. He then went to the county hospital and was prescribed hundreds of doses of Chinese medicine, which had no effect. Others introduced us to the provincial hospital, which will cost 20,000 yuan. I have no money, so we won't go.”

“Then ask him to recite ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ in his heart. Ask him to watch the Shen Yun DVD as much as possible. He'll soon be fine. I have practiced Dafa for more than ten years, and I haven’t needed to go to the hospital or take a single pill.”

About half a year later, we ran into each other again. This time, she spoke with great conviction. “I want to see your Master,” she said. “I want you to take me to see him.”

“Master Li Hongzhi is in the United States, so you won't see him for a while,” I replied. “But is your son better?”

She told me that he was recovering very well. “So, thank you!” she said. “Please, write down my name and phone number. When your Master returns, let me know.”

A few days ago, I met her again. She told me, "My son had epilepsy, but he is fine now. His illness hasn't recurred, and his car repair shop is going very well. My business has also been very good.

“In fact, my son told me recently: ‘This Falun Dafa educates people better than their own parents.’”
