How Unshakable Is Our Faith? Some Thoughts on the U.S Election

(Minghui.org) On the day of the U.S election, my heart was moved as the votes were counted. I was at work and occasionally watched the situation. I tried my best to remember that I was a practitioner and remain calm. By afternoon, President Trump was leading in nearly all the swing states. Relieved, I switched off the news.

Things changed unexpectedly by the next morning. The U.S. left-wing (controlled by communist factors) turned the situation around by using various dishonest means such as postal votes, illegal ballots, tampering with election software, fake ballots, and so on. They superseded Trump in vote counts and he lost the swing states, one after another. The Trump campaign asked for a recount in these states and filed lawsuits to defend the integrity of the U.S. presidential election.

Several practitioners’ sharings on the unfolding situation focused on getting rid of human attachments, including relying on Trump and not letting the old forces use loopholes caused by our own inadequacies. This is very important of course. But as Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, besides doing well in our personal cultivation, how we take the next step forward and see the issue from the perspective of assisting Master in Fa-rectification is also of utmost importance.

Some practitioners have the following understanding: Whether it’s the political left or right, these are all sentient beings and should be saved. Therefore why should we be so averse towards those on the left? Fellow practitioners, it’s not like that.

Socialism Reverses Right and Wrong

The book “How The Specter of Communism is Ruling Our World” explains how the various socialist policies endorsed by the left-wing is subverting the Western Christian civilization arranged by gods. In the name of political correctness, right and wrong are reversed. In America, those who continue to uphold traditional values are suppressed and rioted against, turning the West into a cultural revolution. Furthermore, the left camp controls the education system and the media—it truly is ruling Western society.

At present, big tech firms and mainstream media support the left-wing and are biased towards it. We see in this election that several prominent media companies continue to refuse to report on the democratic candidate’s collusion with the CCP. Major social media platforms censored President Trump’s posts, removing fan groups of right-wing conservatives, blocking the accounts of Trump supporters, and so on. These tech companies and media in turn have influenced the entire world. Because they have all kinds of financial dealings with the CCP they've colluded with it, causing pandemonium in Western society.

Master said:

“...whereas real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference,” Guiding the Voyage)

My personal understanding is that the present situation in the U.S election is a final attack by the communist specter before it takes its last breath. It wants to destroy everyone. As Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period, magnificent gods in the new, future cosmos, we must protect the universe, eliminate the evil, and send righteous thoughts. In this final moment of Fa-rectification, we should take the lead in helping positive elements dominate the world so that the evil cannot control sentient beings. We must save as many people as possible.

It is also my understanding that the current state of affairs is a test of our faith in Master and Dafa. Using the media, the democratic candidate proclaimed himself the winner. On the surface, things appear precarious. Are we able to remain unwavering in our belief that the one chosen by gods will emerge victorious? Do we have faith that miracles will happen? Isn’t this a question of our conviction?

Our human hearts must not be stirred—our divine thoughts must take action. I suggest that practitioners outside China send strong righteous thoughts directed at this chaos.

Footnote: I noticed practitioners posting statements on social media disavowing other governments’ congratulatory messages to the democratic candidate. I think this may be too extreme. Ordinary governments don’t represent Dafa disciples, therefore is there really a need to make a statement? An everyday person will have difficulty understanding this behavior and reject their efforts. Because we practice cultivation in human society, it’s best not to be perceived by others as being irrational, thereby making it more difficult to save people.
