(Minghui.org) Many people around the world have been watching this year's U.S. presidential election. The election was beyond partisanship or political views. Rather, it was essentially an opportunity for everyone to choose a side when facing a modern-day war between the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness.

President Donald Trump has had a clear understanding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since he came to see how the CCP covered up the coronavirus pandemic. He has taken a series of correct actions all along. Because many people nowadays are more interested in fame and material interest, it is difficult for them to understand Trump’s speeches and policies. Nonetheless, he has launched comprehensive efforts to hold the CCP accountable and paid attention to the human rights violations against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Therefore, I sincerely hoped he would win the election and have four more years to accomplish the mission of ending the CCP.

Meanwhile, I was also a bit uneasy about pinning my hope on President Trump. As a Falun Gong practitioner in China who has been persecuted for my belief since 1999, I have experienced disappointment countless times when my hopes of seeing an immediate end to the persecution were dashed. I knew that, as a practitioner, I should do things without pursuit. Wouldn’t my pursuit make things more complicated and have a negative effect on the election? Plus, President Trump has clearly declared his intent to counter the CCP and has revealed the vicious communist regime’s disguise. Wouldn’t this cause the vicious elements to interfere with the election recklessly?

We know that the United States is blessed by the divine and many signs before the election had pointed to a Trump win. Some news media run by practitioners also had made optimistic predictions. But the flagrant and clumsy fraud destroyed the credibility of the U.S. society overnight and skewed the results of this election with the largest turnout in history.

Although this battle between good and evil is not yet over, I did calm down and was able to identify and face my attachment of pursuit – I had hoped someone would show up and help end the persecution of Falun Gong in China. I had had this attachment for many years. It was just that I had become more cautious with my expectations, having been disappointed before when the persecution didn't end as expected. Every time I had my hopes up for someone to help end the persecution, I still remembered the relevant Fa lectures from Master, but I nonetheless still had this pursuit of relying on others to end the persecution.

My mother, also a Falun Gong practitioner, had the same attachment of pursuit as I. She was eager to see a favorable outcome and hoped Master could help. I too quietly prayed in front of Master’s portrait, hoping Trump could be helped to win this election, so that this world would have at least one land of justice. Although the reduced foreign business (due to the strained relationship between the U.S. and China) had negatively affected my financial situation, I felt it would still be worth it if Trump won and helped end the CCP.

At that moment, one thought came to my mind: Master’s arrangement must be the best.

Brazen clamor, threats to ordinary citizens, lack of freedom of speech, disregard for morality, news media-turned-propaganda machine, lies, and abuse of power for financial interests – all of these are too familiar to us who live in communist China. But we did not expect that such CCP tactics are also being employed in the U.S.

I remember what my mother and I saw when we visited San Francisco 11 years ago. In Chinatown, an old man openly defamed Falun Gong through a loudspeaker on the street. Passersby were numb as if seeing nothing. This shows how deeply the CCP has infiltrated the U.S.

What President Trump has experienced during his tenure and the election is another example of the CCP’s infiltration, except that it is happening in the most powerful country in the world. Everyone who has been through this election process is also positioning himself or herself for the future. It is an opportunity arranged by the divine.

Although the election is not yet over, these understandings did help me to calm down. Everyone will have his or her fate. Whether returning to traditional values or sinking in the chaos, it is dependent on one’s own choice.

The above are some understandings of mine related to the U.S. election. Please point out anything inappropriate.
