I am a Hong Kong Falun Dafa practitioner who started to practice in 2006, and so did my younger sister. Both of us emigrated from Vietnam to Hong Kong.
We don’t speak Cantonese or Chinese very well, but we persisted in clarifying the truth at the Hong Kong truth-clarifying site. Because at first we did not know how to persuade Chinese people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations, less than 10 people quit every day. But eventually we were able to persuade 20, 30, and sometimes more than 100 people to quit every day. Thank you, Master, for empowering us.
Saving People with a Pure Heart
I am Ah Xia, the older sister. I immigrated to Hong Kong many years ago. In Hong Kong, I met my husband who started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. He kept talking about Falun Dafa and hoped that I would practice it. In 2000, my husband took me to Victoria Park to meditate with other practitioners. At that time, I did not understand Chinese, nor did I have the Vietnamese version of the Falun Dafa books. Thus, I only began to practice Dafa in 2006.
After that, I joined the group Fa study arranged by Hong Kong practitioners every day and listened to them read the Chinese version of Zhuan Falun. I learned my Chinese by reading Zhuan Falun, but I cannot read anything else written in Chinese. I then introduced Falun Dafa to my mother, who is in her 70s. Before practicing Falun Dafa, she had white hair. After practicing Falun Dafa, her hair turned black.
Clarifying the Truth to Chinese
Not long after I began to practice, I started to go to truth-clarifying sites to tell people the facts about Dafa and encourage them to quit the CCP. I saw on the Minghui website that many practitioners are helping Chinese people quit the CCP. I thought: “If they can do it, I can, too.” I have been doing this at the Tung Chung site since 2011.
I could only speak limited Cantonese and a few simple sentences in Chinese. Practitioners helped me make a small display board on which they wrote issues such as “Heaven will annihilate the CCP” and “Quit the CCP and its organizations to obtain peace.”
They also prepared some pseudonyms for me. I pointed out the items on the small display board to the tourists, then ask them if they had joined the CCP or its youth organizations. If someone agreed to quit, I gave them a pseudonym.
For a few years I rode a bicycle to the Disneyland theme park to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying newspapers to the Chinese tourists and encouraged them to quit the CCP. I was able to persuade more than 100 people to quit. Later, when fewer Chinese tourists went to the Disneyland park, I went to the Tung Chung truth-clarifying site.
When a tourist heard me clarifying the truth in my version of Cantonese or Chinese, he asked me if I was a Chinese national. I said, “It doesn’t matter what my nationality is. I only hope that you can obtain peace.” Master has empowered me and given me the wisdom to clarify the truth. I told them, “Quit the CCP to obtain peace” in Chinese and helped them quit the CCP.
When I was clarifying the truth at the tourist site, there were also tourists who pointed at me and verbally abused me. “How much do they give you every month?” It seemed like they were about to hit me. I said, “It’s the CCP that Heaven is annihilating, not you.” Because my Chinese is not good, I did not really understand what they were saying. I did not get angry. I just smiled. They quit abusing me, and some quit the CCP.
The day after the CCP implemented the National Security Law on July 1, 2020, I was still clarifying the truth and encouraging people to quit the CCP in the park. There were people who verbally abused me, so I send forth righteous thoughts, and they stopped.
Changing People’s Attitude
The members of the Hong Kong Youth Care Association Limited walked back and forth at the Tung Chung site every day to bother us. They stood very near and tried to cover our banners.
The Hong Kong Youth Care Association Limited is administered by the 610 Office, which was created by the former CCP leader, Jiang Zemin, to persecute Falun Gong. For many years, they have been disturbing the truth-clarifying sites and attacking practitioners.
I remained calm even though they berated me, I was not angry and just clarified the truth to them every day. I asked them, “What do you believe?” They just kept chastising me. I did not get angry and said, “Although you do not believe in anything, you should at least believe in your ancestors, right? If your ancestors see you persecuting us cultivators like this every day, what will they think?”
I kept talking to them, encouraging them to quit this job and not distribute fliers that slandered Dafa. I told them that the fliers that slander Dafa are harmful, while the truth-clarifying newspapers that we distribute save people. Sometimes, one or two of them would listen to me. One of them said, “If I do not do this job, someone else will. We [referring to the association] have money and we will employ many people to distribute our fliers.”
I said, “Don’t pass those out anymore. You give out so many every day. That is not good for you or for those who get them.” She seemed to hear me and said, “I am not handing them out, I’m just holding them for people to see.” I asked her to throw them away, and that only by throwing them away would she get good returns. Sometimes, she would listen to me and throw them away.
When there were only a few practitioners at the truth-clarifying site, I got worried when I saw so many Chinese tourists and no one there to persuade them to quit the CCP. I was holding up the Falun Dafa banner and told one of the Youth Care Association people that I needed to go to the restroom. I asked her to hold the flag for me so I could go and she did. I went out around encouraging people to quit the Party before coming back to hold the banner. She helped me now and then.
On the last day of 2020, The Youth Care Association stopped coming, and the truth-clarifying site returned to normal.
“Nine True Words” Gave Me a New Lease on Life
I am Ah Wen, the younger sister. In 2006, when my life was hanging by a thread, my sister and her family in Hong Kong persuaded me to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” These two sentences pulled me back from death’s door. I know deep in my heart that it is our benevolent great Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, who saved me. That was when I started to practice.
Before that, I had many health problems. Because I could not eat much for a long time, I had lost weight and was very thin. I also suffered from insomnia and frequently found it hard to breathe. My life was miserable. This went on for almost two years, and even the doctors did not know what I had. The insomnia alone made living worse than death.
One day while I was laying in bed, my sister brought her son over to visit me. Coincidentally, her husband called her from America and heard how ill I was. At that time, I was almost out of breath and was semi-conscious. Her husband said that only Dafa could save me and asked my sister and her son to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Initially, I did not believe him. So I shook my head and refused to recite the words. Because I was following an unorthodox practice, I was being controlled by that practice’s evil spirit. In the past, when I went to my sister’s house and she played the music “Pudu” for me, I did not want to hear it and left. That evil spirit’s things hung on a wall in my house, and in my confused state, I saw that evil spirit jumped down of the wall and try to pull me away with it. I was being held down by that evil spirit and could not catch my breath. At that time, I could only moan in pain, “I’m dying, I’m dying!”
My young nephew quickly hugged me and asked me to say “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” with him. He shouted, “Master, please save my auntie, save my auntie!” Then he kept saying to me, “You try it, try it!” I was very scared of that spirit, so I nodded to tell him that I was willing to try and recite the two sentences with my nephew and sister. Never did I expect to experience the power of Dafa! Instantly, I was able to catch my breath, and as I continued to say the sentences, I gradually regained full consciousness. I was petrified of staying in my own home, so I went to stay at my sister’s that day.
At my sister’s, I hurt all over, as if I was being stabbed by needles. I did not expect the evil spirit to follow me to my sister’s. When I recited the two sentences, that spirit would try to stop me. In my heart, I said, “I want to cultivate Falun Dafa now. My master is Master Li Hongzhi.” Just as I said Master’s name, that evil spirit disappeared.
My sister helped me to send forth righteous thoughts and asked me to keep reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” throughout the night. I finally took a turn for the better and regained full consciousness. That was when I started to practice Falun Dafa.
This experience made me really understand Master’s poem,
“Zhen Shan Ren—three sacred words have boundless Fa powersFalun Dafa is good---true thoughts alter all disasters”(“THE SOURCE OF ALL FA,” Hong Yin IV)
A few days after that, my sister told me I should do the three things, and I wondered what I had done. She said that we should go out and awaken people’s consciences. I had just recovered and felt still weak but I thought, “Why don’t I give it a try?” I tried and I realized that I could walk. So I went out with my sister to promote the Fa and to the Disneyland theme park to distribute newspapers.
Now, apart from studying the Fa and practicing the exercises, I go out to clarify the truth every day. When many Chinese tourists came to Hong Kong, I went to Heyuan Street, a tourist destination that drew many Chinese tourists. I also used a small truth-clarifying display board and simple Chinese to tell them, “Heaven is annihilating the CCP. Quit the CCP to save your life.
“Why do we need to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations? The CCP has committed so many bad deeds that Heaven is annihilating it. The CCP even harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and sells them. As cultivators of Falun Gong, we are trying to be good people. Heaven is annihilating the CCP, so only by quitting the CCP will you be able to obtain peace.” As I spoke, I used the small display board to ask them if they had joined any of the CCP organizations. If they did, I would help them choose an alias to quit.
I also persuaded people to quit the CCP at other tourist sites where there were many Chinese tourists such as Hung Hom and Kowloon Bay. One couple asked me where I came from. I smiled and said, “I am Vietnamese. Let me help both of you to quit the CCP. Only by doing so can you obtain peace.” Both of them agreed.
Fifteen years have passed. Every time I recall how I got a new lease on life by reciting the two Dafa sentences, my heart swells with gratitude for Master. I will continue to do the three things well.
