(Minghui.org) Because of my attachment to watching short videos on my mobile phone, I was taken advantage of by evil entities. I was arrested and taken to the police station, and my computer, printer, and Dafa books were confiscated. I was given no food at the police station for a day and a night, and the officer who watched over us had a very bad attitude.
There were some other detainees in the cell who were arrested for fighting and stealing. However only the practitioners and I were handcuffed, and even had trouble using the toilet. I told the officer that using the toilet was our most basic right, and if he didn’t allow us to use the toilet, we would sue him. So he reluctantly allowed us to use the toilet.
I was taken to a dark room the next day and told to sit on an iron chair, which is a torture device for prisoners. I was not a prisoner, so I refused to sit on it. They later brought me a wooden stool. I asked them, “Do you want to hit me? I’ll tell you, it is illegal to hit someone.” I refused to answer any questions they asked, and only clarified the truth to them. I told them not to persecute good people, otherwise they would face retribution. I said the current plague was aimed at people who persecute the good, and who do not believe in the divine. I hoped they could understand the truth and have a good future. I refused to sign any documents.
I had to take a physical examination before being taken to the detention center. Those people had a bad attitude. I then refused to have my blood drawn. I asked what they were trying to do, “Do you want to harvest my organs?” A person viciously pressed me to draw my blood, and I was then taken to the detention center where they tried to photograph me. I also refused to let them take photos. I was then forcibly taken by two people, undressed, and even my underwear was taken off for inspection.
When I arrived at the cell, the head of the cell asked me what my name was. I told her I hadn’t committed a crime, and that I wasn’t a prisoner. Every morning, the guard came in to give a lecture, and everyone there had to hold their heads, but I didn’t do so. The guard couldn’t do anything about me.
I didn’t cooperate with any of their orders, but took every opportunity to clarify the truth to them. I treated everyone based on the standards of cultivators. The food there was very bad; there were a few slices of meat on the cabbage each day, and it looked like soup. I lost a lot of weight by the time I went home after 30 days.
I told the guard there that practicing Falun Gong was legal, and if I had Falun Gong books, that they were legal to read also. Falun Gong teaches people to be good, and I told him that he should quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in order to have a good future. I sent forth righteous thoughts and recited the Fa from memory all the time.
People there often asked me, “Can you go home in 30 days?” I said, “I will.” I told them that I was different, that I had not broken the law, and that I had told them that evil would not suppress the good. The people there said that I would be released only after the judicial bureau approved. I am a Dafa disciple, and I denied that I would get released only with the consent of the judicial bureau. When I was released the people were very surprised, because there was no precedent for being released without going through the judicial bureau.
All of this was inseparable from Master’s compassion. When I was afraid, Master encouraged me not to answer any questions during interrogations. I heard the guard who interrogated me say, “She didn’t say anything or sign, so what should I do?” The other guard said, “What else can you do? Let her go.” I heard their conversation very clearly. When I meditated in the cell, a clear sentence entered my mind, “The date to go home is approaching,” and I knew that it was Master telling me to go home.
I was very grateful for the selfless help of the other practitioners. Practitioners outside China made phone calls, practitioners in China helped send forth righteous thoughts, and my family also did a good job of rescuing me. The fellow practitioners helped me find a lawyer who read a letter from my family, giving me a lot of encouragement. I also filed a complaint against the police officers for their illegal acts, including that the police station did not allow us to use the toilet, broke into our houses without wearing police uniforms, stole our property, and so on.
While in the detention center, I also had unrighteous thoughts about if I would be sentenced for clarifying the truth or possessing the truth-clarifying materials, but I negated those thoughts. The truth-clarifying materials are not the reason for their persecution.
I was taken to the police station after being released from the detention center. The officers told me that this case was not over yet, and that I would be placed under residential surveillance for six months. They asked me to sign a document for the residential surveillance. I said I didn’t admit their persecution, and won’t sign it. Six months later, the police station called and said that the residential surveillance had been revoked.
I often think about how fortunate I am to be a disciple of Master, what an honor it is, and I never regret that I have taken the path of cultivation. I regret not having cultivated well, and I am very ashamed that I have sometimes failed to live up to Master’s compassion.
