(Minghui.org) Minghui recently learned of an incident that occurred between 2006 and 2007. Before a death row inmate surnamed Zhang died, he told Falun Gong practitioners in Sanhe City, Hebei Province that he participated in the execution of practitioners who were in the army.
According to Zhang, former Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Jiang Zemin gave the order to execute five army officers who practiced Falun Gong. Among these victims, the highest-ranking officer was surnamed Jiang, the political commissar of the 39th Army. Two were a regimental commander and a company commander.
A lieutenant general led the victims to a sandy area and had a pit dug. He then ordered the five officers to kneel down next to the pit. He had them shot and buried. Everyone who participated had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, prohibiting them from talking about what happened. The CCP may have lied to these practitioners’ family members and told them they “died in the line of duty.”
Later, when Zhang and several others took a taxi, they robbed and murdered the driver, and dumped the body in a remote area. Zhang was convicted of murder and sentenced to death. Realizing that he would never get out of prison, he contacted Falun Gong practitioners and told them what happened.
Zhang was involved in the robbery in either Sanhe City or Langfang City. More information about his military record may be found by checking local court cases in 2006 and 2007.
Even orders given in the military must respect the Constitution and cannot violate the law, and must serve a military purpose. This incident further spotlights how the persecution of Falun Gong is ruthless and operates completely outside the law.
