(Minghui.org) We should know that Master Li made a clear and specific arrangement for how practitioners in Vietnam should cultivate and clarify the truth in the current political environment. This arrangement is not negotiable, and if a practitioner thinks it is, their thinking is not based on the Fa.
Master said in “To Vietnamese Students:”
“Because of this, students should remain calm in this unusual period of time and refrain from organizing large-scale truth clarification activities at present, not to mention getting confrontational. Cultivation, to begin with, is about cultivating oneself and giving up attachments. Therefore, put the primary focus on individual Fa study and practice in this period of time, and do not organize large-scale Fa study or practice activities. No matter how the media tells lies, you should remain calm and not get provoked. Observe quietly; whoever provokes the situation has a problem! Be sure to remember this.”
In his talk, Master provided guidance on how practitioners should cultivate in the specific political and social environment. While he points out what we should not do, he also tells us what we should do—focus on personal cultivation and stay calm and rational to ensure the stability and safety of our cultivation environment.
Unfortunately, some individuals tried to downplay or even deny the article’s guiding role. Some claimed that “the situation has changed,” while others said that “time is limited and we should no longer do things the old way.” One even used the excuse of “this is what I understand from the teachings,” yet wanted to do the opposite of what Master said. For a practitioner, such actions could have serious consequences.
Unless Master makes a new arrangement and clearly tells us what it is, I believe no one has the mighty virtue to negate or change Master’s instructions. To claim that “the situation has changed,” this person has replaced the Fa standards with his judgment.
Also, if someone uses the excuse of “having a different level or understanding” to avoid following the Fa requirements, they are on a very slippery slope. All understandings should be based on the Fa; once the so-called understanding takes a position opposite to Master, it becomes external interference or even evil enlightenment.
The cultivation environment in Vietnam is very different and fragile. In the article, Master told us that the Chinese Communist Party attempted to divert international attention from itself, and Vietnam was a convenient target. Any high-profile or large-scale activity that could be labeled as political or provocative will become an excuse for oppression and put practitioners and others in a dangerous position.
For a practitioner in Vietnam, strictly following the requirements in “To Vietnamese Students” is not an issue of diligence or bravery, but rather a question of whether a practitioner truly believes in and stands with Master and the Fa.
When one hears a high-sounding excuse that deviates from Master’s arrangements, he must think rationally whether such action validates the Fa or himself. As a witness to such an incident, consider what attachment you may still need to eliminate.
Only by following Master’s arrangement and staying clear-headed can practitioners protect the cultivation environment in Vietnam. This will prevent irreversible losses from lapses in judgment and allow practitioners to walk their paths steadily and upright.
