(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 40 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Chen Guicun and his wife Ms. Chen Ji’e were arrested at home by Qingyuan County Domestic Security Division officers on July 21, 2025. They were subjected to criminal detention. Mr. Chen was taken to the Dashagou Detention Center, while Ms. Chen is held in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City. Fushun oversees Qingyuan County.
The couple was scheduled to be tried by the Wanghua District Court on December 16, 2025.
Ms. Liu Shouyu was tried on November 19, 2025. She is now awaiting the verdict.
Ms. Wang Ping was arrested on December 10, 2025, for talking to passersby about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in Yantai City.
Mr. Li Guangyuan was arrested at a street market on December 9, 2025. His home was ransacked.
Ms. Yu, first name unknown, is an elderly practitioner. She was sentenced to 14 months in prison and is allowed to serve time at home.
Ms. Huang Huaiqin was harassed at home by two officers from the Wujin Police Station on November 8, 2025. The officers did not show their identification. They tried to take pictures of her, but she didn’t let them.
Mr. Lu Jianjun was harassed at his shop by two officers from the Huanghe Road Police Station on December 12, 2025.
Ms. Kang Yan was arrested on December 9, 2025, by Dongzhuosu Town Police Station officers. She has since been released.
Mr. Guan Zhongji was arrested on June 5, 2018, and sentenced to seven years in prison by the Pingdu City Court. He was released on June 5, 2025.
Ms. Chong Jinxia’s family received a harassing call from officer Zhao Huchang of the Binhe Road Police Station on December 12, 2025. They were ordered to have Ms. Chong go to the police station and have a blood sample taken. Ms. Chong refused to comply.
Eleven practitioners who were arrested during a police sweep on November 2, 2025, are facing indictment by the Xixia District Procuratorate. They are Mao Minwu, Ding Qian, Zhao Lin, Xie Yiqiang, Li Shilin, Li Jinhua, Shen Dongmei, Li Mengying, Liang Yuhua, Wu Jingfang, and Zhu Lin. The practitioners’ families have hired lawyers for them.
Ms. Li Shufang was arrested at home on the morning of December 10, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail in the evening.
Ms. Jiang Yueqiu, in her 50s, was arrested on November 21, 2025, and taken to the Tuanjie Police Station, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home in the afternoon and seized several Falun Gong books. They also arrested Ms. Zhang Fengling, who is in her 60s and happened to be at Ms. Jiang’s home.
Ms. Zhang was released the same day. Ms. Jiang was released on November 25 after four days at a local lockup.
Ms. Gu Shuyan was harassed at her daughter’s home on December 12, 2025, by officers from the Xiazhuzhuang Police Station and Wuqing District Domestic Security Office. They videotaped and searched her place, and confiscated Falun Gong flyers and other personal items. Ms. Gu did not answer any of their questions or sign any documents.
Mr. Xu Zhenguo, Ms. Zhao Shuping, Ms. Xiong Fengyan, Ms. Xia Xiuhua, Ms. Tang Guiyan, and Ms. Yao Xiurong were arrested on October 28, 2025 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a street market. Ms. Xiong’s husband, Mr. Wang Liwu, was also arrested when the police raided the couple’s home.
To date, only Ms. Xia and Mr. Wang have been released on bail, and the other five practitioners are still detained and are now facing prosecution, after their arrests were approved by the Fengrun District Procuratorate on December 4, 2025.
Ms. Pu Mingfang, in her late 60s, had her home ransacked by eight officers from the Xianggang Police Station on December 5, 2025, after they followed her husband home and entered the building. Ms. Pu’s Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and other items were confiscated.
Many practitioners were arrested on August 28, 2025, prior to the CCP’s Military Parade on September 3, 2025. Among them, Ms. Su Hong, Ms. Qu Shiying, and Ms. Chang Yahua are still being held in the Changchun City Detention Center. The police submitted Ms. Chang’s case to the procuratorate, which has returned it for additional evidence.
Ms. Liu Cong was arrested at home on July 12, 2024. She was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan on June 19, 2025, by the Lianshan District Court. She appealed with the Huludao City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict on October 9, 2025. She was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on December 8, 2025.
Ms. Li Caixia was arrested on December 11, 2025 and her home was ransacked. Her elderly mother who was living with her was terrified.
Xiaomei, nickname, a teacher at Gaocheng District Primary School, was arrested on December 9, 2025.
