(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Seven Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Sessions
8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Liqin and Ms. Wang Keye Arrested
9. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Shufen and Ms. Hu Jingxia Arrested

1. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Prison

Mr. Du Changjiang, Mr. Lyu Xianfeng, Mr. Fan Yunpeng, and Mr. Yang Fujun were sentenced to prison by Dehui City Court on August 18, 2025. Mr. Du was sentenced to five years and six months, Mr. Lyu five years and six months, Mr. Fan five years and six months, and Mr. Yang four years and six months, along with a fine of 10,000 yuan each.

On December 2, 2025, Mr. Du and Mr. Lyu were taken to Gongzhuling Prison, and Mr. Yang and Mr. Fan were taken to Jilin City Prison.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Li Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Huang Li was sentenced to twenty months in prison by Wuqing District Court in December 2025.

3. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Xueya Issued Critical Condition Notice While Serving Wrongful Term

Ms. Zhang Xueya, who is serving a prison term of three years and nine months at the Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison, has been tortured into critical condition.

4. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Feng Suxia Faces Trial

Ms. Feng Suxia was scheduled to stand trial at the Renqiu City Court on January 6, 2026.

5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Wang Ruoshui Arrested

Practitioner Wang Ruoshui, gender unknown, was arrested at home at 10 p.m. one November night in 2025, by Weihai Economic Development Zone Domestic Security Division officers. Wang’s home was ransacked.

6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Shupei Arrested

Ms. Wang Shupei was arrested by Zhaoyuan City Police Department officers on December 29, 2025.

7. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Seven Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Sessions

After holding a brainwashing session targeting Falun Gong practitioners between June and July 2025, the authorities in Huainan City organized another two brainwashing sessions in November and December 2025. The sessions were held in the Donghua Yile Ecological Park in Xiejiaji District, a venue that has a long-term partnership with the authorities.

Ms. Nie Yinzhen, Ms. Xia Zehong, Ms. Ge Xuemei, and two male practitioners were taken to the brainwashing session in November 2025.

Ms. Wang Huaiqin, 71, and a male practitioner, in his 70s, was arrested and taken to the brainwashing session in December 2025.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Liqin and Ms. Wang Keye Arrested

Ms. Sun Liqin and Ms. Wang Keye, both in their 70s, were arrested at their respective homes by Wuning Town Police Station officers on December 25, 2025. Their Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, among other items, were confiscated. After being taken to the police station, they were forced to sign some documents. Ms. Wang’s son was also forced to sign her case documents.

9. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Shufen and Ms. Hu Jingxia Arrested

Ms. Yang Shufen and Ms. Hu Jingxia were arrested on December 4, 2025, when they were buying groceries at a local supermarket by Qingquan Town Police Station officers. They were placed under administrative detention at Xishui County Detention Center.

Ms. Yang was transferred to Huanggang City Detention Center on December 17 under criminal detention. Due to her dangerously high blood pressure, the detention center refused to accept her. She was released on bail that same day.

While being held at Xishui County Detention Center, Ms. Hu went on a hunger strike to protest. The police interrogated her again for several hours on December 18. She suffered convulsions and fainted. She was rushed to a hospital for resuscitation and then released.
