(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhu Qin was arrested at home on January 13, 2026, by agents from Feihe Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee and local police.
Ms. Huang Chunling, from Qufu City, along with Ms. Lu Zhilan and Ding Li from Zoucheng City, went to Zhongxindian Town in Zoucheng City to demand the return of their impounded electric bicycles. They were instead detained for 14 days. When their families went to the Zoucheng City Detention Center to pick them up on January 3, 2026, they were told the three practitioners had been transferred to Jining City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang Ruilian was arrested by plainclothes officers while talking to people about Falun Gong at Xugezhuang Farmers Market on January 14, 2026.
Seven officers from Panzhuang Town Police Station, along with village Party secretary Chen Xingfeng, broke into Ms. Li Xiuling’s home on January 14, 2026, and ransacked the place. They confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, a CD player, and two USB drives containing Falun Gong materials.
Huaxiang Police Station officers broke into Ms. Wang Ronghua’s home on August 14, 2025 and accused her of distributing Falun Gong materials. They questioned her where she got the materials and ordered her to go to the police station. Ms. Wang, in her 80s, refused to cooperate. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and left. They began to harass her again in January 2026.
Mr. Guan Lianbin was sentenced to four years by the Daowai District Court on December 23, 2025. He appealed with the Harbin City Intermediate Court on January 12, 2026.
Mr. Bai Hongmin was sentenced to eight years in prison. He has been admitted to the Xinmi Prison in Zhengzhou City.
Ms. Liu Qiuyue, Ms. Wang Lirong, Mr. Li Zhenrong, and two other practitioners surnamed Zhou and Jin, respectively, were arrested and had their homes ransacked on January 13, 2026. The practitioners are all over 60 years old, with one approaching 90.
All five practitioners were released that evening, after being interrogated at the police station. The police forbade them from leaving Yantai City without permission.
Ms. Su Chunfeng was released from the Luquan Women’s Prison in Shijiazhuang City on January 7, 2026, after serving a prison term of two and a half years.
