(Minghui.org) A woman in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was recently sentenced to three years for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Zhang Zhijuan, around 60, was arrested at home on October 25, 2025, by officers from the Nangang Police Station. They also raided her home and confiscated her printer and other items. She was then put under criminal detention at the Harbin City Detention Cetner.
Ms. Zhang appeared in the Daoli District Court in early February 2026. The judge returned the case to the Daoli District Procuratorate in May, and instructed the prosecutor to file a new indictment against Ms. Zhang. She was later sentenced to three years at an unknown time. Other details of her prosecution are unclear.
