(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested; Three Detained
2. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wei Xiaoming Arrested
3. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Miao Ji’e and Ms. Su Xueyun Arrested
4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Gao Jiping Arrested
5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yumei Arrested
6. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liao Xiaoning’s Pension Suspended
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
8. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Jia Cuiping Placed Under Residential Surveillance
9. [Wangcang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Bian Lixian and Ms. Ji Wenqun Sentenced to Prison

12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioner’s Son Arrested

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested; Three Detained

Zhou Dehua, Hu Jinhua, Ma Senlin, and Xiaobo (nickname) were arrested on April 24, 2026. Zhou has been released on bail, while the other three were taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

2. [Yutian County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wei Xiaoming Arrested

Practitioner Wei Xiaoming was arrested on April 24, 2026, by Chengguan Town Police Station officers, while talking to people about Falun Gong at Yutian County farmers market. Wei is being held at the Yutian County Lockup.

3. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Miao Ji’e and Ms. Su Xueyun Arrested

Ms. Miao Ji’e and Ms. Su Xueyun were arrested on April 21, 2026, by officers from the Dazeshan Police Station and Guozhuang Police Station, respectively. Both of their homes were ransacked. They are being held in the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City.

4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Gao Jiping Arrested

Ms. Gao Jiping was arrested at home by two officers from the Wanbailin Police Department on March 4, 2026. She is being held in the Taiyuan City Fourth Detention Center.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yumei Arrested

Ms. Wang Yumei was arrested by Huxi Road Police Station officers on April 25, 2026. She was released soon after and placed under residential surveillance.

6. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liao Xiaoning’s Pension Suspended

Ms. Liao Xiaoning, 60, a retired teacher, was arrested in February 2023 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was sentenced to one year and six months in prison by the Chengyuan District Court in October 2023. After she was released in August 2024, she learned that her pension had been suspended by the Social Security Bureau. She now has no source of income and still faces frequent harassment by the authorities.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Jiang Shuqin and Huang, first name and gender unknown, were arrested on February 28, 2026, by Silian Boulevard Police Station officers. Both practitioners have been detained since.

8. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Jia Cuiping Placed Under Residential Surveillance

Ms. Jia Cuiping, 78, was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was summoned by officers from Gucheng Police Station on April 16, 2026, and her home was searched. She was later taken to the Jiancaoping Police Department, where officers attempted to handcuff her. Her family intervened and stopped them. Ms. Jia was subsequently placed under residential surveillance.

9. [Wangcang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Bian Lixian and Ms. Ji Wenqun Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Bian Lixian was sentenced to one year in prison and Ms. Ji Wenqun to one year and six months in prison in March 2026. They were arrested on October 9, 2025, during a police sweep.

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zheng Lihui Arrested

Ms. Zheng Lihui was arrested at work by Songshan District Domestic Security Division officers on April 17, 2026.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] 17 Practitioners Arrested

Seventeen practitioners were arrested on April 15, 2026, by officers of the Changjiang New Area Police Department. The practitioners are: Du Yaorong, Shen Baozhi, Tao Lei and his wife, Wang Youmei, Tong Shuying, Sun Fang, Wu Guihong, Lin Yong, Yu Yin’ai, Zuo Cuihua, Tu Jianping, Zhang Pingyu, Cheng Baomei, Xiao, Lin, and Wang.

Zuo, Sun, Tu, Zhang, Cheng, and Wang have been released. Wang Youmei and Tong were detained for 15 days.

12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Practitioner’s Son Arrested

Mr. Wang Zhexing, 40, was arrested around mid-April 2026. Mr. Wang’s parents, who both practiced Falun Gong, have passed away. Mr. Wang doesn’t practice Falun Gong himself, but he supports the practice and keeps Falun Gong books and computers left by his parents. The books and computers were confiscated when the police searched his home. He is being held in the Changsha City Second Detention Center.
