(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) practitioners held events in the old city center of Brașov on June 27 and July 4, 2026. In keeping with a tradition started in 2019, every Saturday they have been raising awareness about the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also introduce people to the ancient spiritual discipline and its core principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

More passersby are taking notice due to practitioners’ regular presence, and many people stop to commend them for their efforts to expose the CCP.

Aside from condemning the persecution, some people also expressed their appreciation for Falun Dafa’s values and practitioners’ positive impact on society.

Whoever Supports Practitioners Also Benefits Themselves

Melania Burcus is from Bretea Română in Hunedoara County. She accepted a leaflet and discussed the practice and the persecution, saying it was “quite a serious issue” and that practitioners in China should “remain steadfast in their belief and persevere.”

She said she thought that sharing the truth makes a difference: “I believe that whoever gets involved in this also benefits themselves ... When you do good from the bottom of your heart, you bring goodness to your soul. No one forces you. It depends entirely on a person’s choice whether they want to participate.”

She added that the values of Falun Dafa—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—speak to everyone. “We all value them, but we may not realize it,” she said. “If everyone could follow these principles, it would increase mutual understanding, people would not dramatize everything and would not always criticize the world. Everything would be much better, evil would be diminished, and moral standards would rise.

“I support and encourage the continuation of information activities and signature collection because it’s about doing something good and worthwhile.”

Intrigued by practitioners’ faith, Melania decided to learn the exercises and attended the group practice session in Brasov the next morning.

“This is very pleasant,” she said. “Really satisfying—I like it very much. I feel like I’ve moved past my old self in terms of endurance. Practicing the exercises brings me inner peace. I found my true self and have a deep feeling of connection.”

She said she would read the main text, Zhuan Falun, to continue learning about Falun Dafa.

IT Expert: Practitioners Are Calling Attention to Positive Moral Values

Valentin Alexandru, an IT professional from Sinaia, recognized one of the practitioners at the Falun Dafa booth and went over the say hello.

Valentin had seen the practitioner meditating at the practice site in Brasov and had been given a Falun Dafa flyer, so he already knew a little about it. This time, he wanted to express his admiration for the practitioners’ perseverance in doing the exercises in all kinds of weather.

“I think this practice is very beneficial, especially in this fast-paced world. In my opinion, perseverance is the key element,” he said. “When you follow these principles, you naturally start to live more freely, both physically and mentally.”

Talking about the persecution in China, he described the CCP as a “closed system” that requires “absolute obedience.” He believes this is why the regime cannot tolerate Falun Dafa because practitioners judge everything for themselves.

He mentioned the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, saying, “It’s so regrettable that people are being used this way. Unfortunately, those in power want to silence genuinely good people who wish to spread the right values.”

Valentin said that practitioners should continue to have such events, not only to expose the brutal persecution but also to encourage people to reconsider the positive universal values that contrast with the CCP’s atrocities.

“My hope is that you continue, because making the truth visible is the most important step. If people don’t know the facts, then their eyes are closed and things are happening behind the scenes. Only by revealing the truth can change be brought about.

“These activities encourage people to open their eyes a little and think about these values,” said Valentin, adding that he was “deeply saddened” to learn that practitioners’ human rights were being abused simply for practicing their faith.

Student Proud to Sign Petition

Robert Brînză, who is from Brașov, is studying electrical engineering and computer science. He came to the Falun Dafa booth with a friend who wanted to sign the petition. Robert signed as well.

“The petition is very significant,” he said. “The signatures of my friends plus those of 1,000 more people will be enough to make a difference. I want to tell people that I am proud to have done a good deed, that change needs to happen, and I have helped a very important humanitarian cause.”

Referring to exposing the CCP’s persecution, he said, “I think it’s a very good thing, working towards a noble cause, because in some places people are becoming corrupt and even forgetting to be human. It’s not good to treat others so cruelly and this needs to change.”

Robert commended the principles of Falun Dafa, saying “Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance have the ability to change people. These value combat moral corruption.”

Even though the persecution is severe, Robert wanted to tell practitioners in China that there are still many kind people in the world who support humanitarian causes and that promoting Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance is “a very remarkable humanitarian cause.”

“I wish you strength, because you are doing a very good thing. May you continue to tolerate everyone because there are still many good people in this world who genuinely want to help others,” he said.

Economist: The Media Should Report on the CCP’s Atrocities

Otilia Popescu, an economist from Bucharest, once saw a Falun Dafa parade in Athens that piqued her curiosity. She read the banners and information materials displayed during the parade and understood that they were raising awareness about the persecution in China. When she saw the Falun Dafa booth in Brașov, she wanted to know more.

She said she understood that the Chinese people are under tight surveillance and control. “I have acquaintances who have been to China, and they told me that everything is controlled, everything is done through mobile phones,” she said. “From what I understand, you can’t even use the subway without identify verification. People seem to be constantly tracked—this is absolute control. Persecution, organ harvesting—these are human rights violations that should not exist in today’s society.”

Otilia expressed regret that international media outlets have not paid enough attention to China’s severe human rights crisis. She urged practitioners to continue getting the word out, even while media coverage is limited.

“You need to keep doing what you’re doing. More people must know the truth. We cannot accept practices like forced organ harvesting,” she said. “I don’t understand why the media doesn’t expose these things. You are doing a very good thing.”

Florentina Zadic was encouraged by a friend to visit the Falun Dafa booth and sign the petition, which she did.

“This is a humanitarian thing—little by little it all adds up to something powerful,” she said. “It’s important that we care about each other, no matter which country or place we come from.” She also expressed her appreciation to practitioners for informing the public about this important humanitarian issue.

“Keep up the good work, you’re doing a very good job and we are glad to see you here, especially in Brașov,” Florentina said. “I’m so glad that people are bringing attention to this and actually taking action. More people need to know about this.”

She believes that every human being is born with the innate values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

“There are some values that every person should have—towards ourselves and towards others we talk to, interact with, see every day. We should also treat animals, plants, everything kindly,” she said.

She offered encouragement to the practitioners being persecuted: “To your fellow practitioners in China, I want to say, ‘Be strong, everything will be all right. I hope the situation will improve, and with all our help, it will definitely get better and better.’”

Law Student: International Community Should Help Stop the Persecution

Sânziana Boghian, a law student from Bacău, believes it is everyone’s responsibility to prevent something as terrible as forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.

“It also depends on each and every one of us,” she said. “Everyone should get involved somehow. You are working hard to stop the persecution, which is very good. But I am shocked when I think about what practitioners in China are going through. Just thinking about it makes my heart ache. I hope they can believe there are still people in the world who will join this cause. Let them not lose hope and not forget to believe in God. They must be firm in their faith in God!”
