(Minghui.org) As soon as the call for submissions for the 23rd Minghui Mainland China Fa Conference was published, I wrote and submitted an article about my cultivation experiences.
I’d like to share my insights on this. I encourage practitioners to help each other and submit articles to the annual Minghui.org Fa Conference.
A few years ago, my husband, also a practitioner, encouraged me to submit an article. I told him I wasn’t a diligent practitioner so I had nothing to write about. He explained that I should simply describe how I obtained the Fa, my cultivation experiences, the changes I’ve undergone, and my thoughts—that’s all I needed to do.
He pointed out that cultivation is about breaking through one’s limitations. If I hadn’t cultivated well, I could identify where I fell short. It would be helpful if I wrote an article. He added that I shouldn’t just take from Minghui.org but I should support it. Although I agreed to write and knew it was the right thing to do, I was reluctant. I realized this reluctance did not come from my true self, so I ignored that thought and decided to write an article.
As I sat at the table with a pen in hand, I felt immense gratitude for Master’s compassionate salvation. By reflecting on how I first began practicing, I regained the diligence I felt when I began practicing.
With my husband’s help, I submitted my article and afterwards I felt immense joy. That sense of excitement and sacredness was just as wonderful as the feeling I had when I participated in the April 25 appeal years ago. Since then, I’ve submitted an article every year, and I view it as a cultivation opportunity.
I realized that it’s not just about improving myself, but also about helping other practitioners improve as a whole. Whenever the call for submissions for the annual Fa conference was issued, we read the notice aloud together in our Fa-study group.
After we discussed the importance of submitting articles, many practitioners participated. We assisted those interested in writing but who were not sure where to begin. As a result, every member of our Fa-study group submitted a sharing article in the past few years.
We reached out to practitioners who did not participate in Fa-study and asked them to write about their cultivation experiences. Every year, we held a small-scale Fa conference at my home or another practitioner’s home, and we read our articles.
A few days before the Fa conference, the organizers gathered to review the drafts and revise any content that did not align with the Fa; this process helped everyone improve. During the conference, the exchanges helped everyone improve further, and the group as a whole elevated.
Through years of collective Fa study, submitting articles for Fa conferences, and participating in sharing sessions, we all improved rapidly. I went from being encouraged by practitioners to submit articles, to writing on my own initiative, to helping other practitioners write articles, and eventually to editing and submitting articles on their behalf. Later, I also became a reviewer.
In the process I identified my shortcomings and I realized how difficult it is for everyone involved. We should all take the initiative to consider others in our actions. That attitude truly helps them and upholds the Fa. Submitting articles for the Fa conference helps us form a unified whole with Falun Dafa practitioners around the world.
When we visited practitioners’ homes, we brought articles from Minghui.org about the call for submissions and exchanged articles written by local practitioners. As a result, the practitioners’ understanding deepened, and they all took the initiative to write articles. They not only write when Minghui issues a call for submissions but also write and submit articles whenever they gain new insights in their cultivation.
This year, our group prepared well in advance, so we didn’t need to spend time discussing whether we should write. Instead, we coordinated to determine who had a computer and could type and submit their own drafts, and who could help solicit contributions from others. Some practitioners prepared early and submitted their work promptly, leaving them time to help others type up their drafts.
It was truly amazing. The day after we discussed this matter, Minghui’s notice arrived, and I immediately submitted my article. I realized that submitting a sharing article helps eliminate interference, disintegrates the CCP’s persecution, and we are following Master to usher in a new era!
Practitioners who never submitted an article should reflect on why they haven’t and decide whom to ask for assistance.
Writing about our cultivation experience and submitting our articles to a Fa conference is a cultivation opportunity. Those who previously submitted articles should realize that it’s not merely participating. Rather, they should earnestly use the writing process to examine themselves and see where they can improve.
I wrote this to encourage more discussion. While we discussed this the other practitioners and I realized that we’re not just going through the motions; we need to write with care and not procrastinate.
Our aim is not only to improve ourselves, but also to assist other practitioners and enlighten the general public. This summary of our cultivation insights is not intended to highlight our shortcomings or boast about how well we’ve done—instead our sincere communication can touch people’s hearts and validate the Fa.
