(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Falan Detained
9. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. He Guiqin Detained and Harassed

1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Face Prison Sentences

Mr. Xu Zhenguo, Ms. Zhao Shuping, Ms. Xiong Fengyan, Ms. Xia Xiuhua, Ms. Tang Guiyan, and Ms. Yao Xiurong were arrested on November 28, 2025. Following hearings in the Zunhua City Court on June 4 and July 9, 2026, the judge divided up the defendants. Ms. Xia and Ms. Xiong were scheduled to be tried again on July 23. The status of the other four practitioners is unclear.

2. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zheng Lijuan Arrested

Ms. Zheng Lijuan was arrested at home by three officers from Longtian Police Station on July 8, 2026. They confiscated 51 Falun Gong books, a calendar, and other Falun Gong informational materials. They intimidated her while asking where she got her materials.

Ms. Zheng remains detained. Her husband has gone to the police station five times to demand her release. His request was denied each time.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Detained

Ms. Dong was arrested in early November 2025. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a printer, a laptop, and other items. She was detained for 10 days.

4. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lian Xuemei Detained

Ms. Lian Xuemie was arrested on July 16, 2026, by officers from Anmin Police Station. She was taken to the Dandong City Lockup.

5. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Shan Jining Detained

Ms. Shan Jining was arrested at home on July 14, 2026. She was placed under a seven-day detention and was scheduled to be released on July 21.

6. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Zhifeng Detained

Mr. Zhang Zhifeng was arrested at Tianshui Railway Station in February 2025. The officers searched him and his cell phone. He was taken to Maiji District Drug Rehabilitation Center and detained for a week.

7. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Qiao Zuoquan and Mr. Pei Hong Released From Prison

Mr. Qiao Zuoquan and Mr. Pei Hong were arrested on June 23, 2023, by Jingmen City Domestic Security Division officers. Mr. Qiao was later sentenced to one year and Mr. Pei to three years. Mr. Qiao was released from Fanjiatai Prison in February 2025, and Mr. Pei was released on June 22, 2026.

8. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Falan Detained

Ms. Zhong Falan was arrested at home by four officers on July 16, 2026. They broke in and claimed that “someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong information.” They took her to the police station and detained her for 10 days.

9. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. He Guiqin Detained and Harassed

Ms. He Guiqin was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in late May 2026. She was arrested and taken to Qinzhou District Detention Center. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her personal belongings.

After Ms. He was released after nearly two weeks in detention, officers from Maiji District Police Department continued to harass her and summoned her to the Supervision Division for interrogation.

10. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Yang Xianguo Detained

Mr. Yang Xiangguo was released after being detained for five days.

11. [Deyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Qian Shuju Released From Prison

Ms. Qian Shuju was released from prison on June 6, 2026.
