(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, Jiang Zemin has forced German police, the Icelandic government, Hong Kong judges and Cambodian police to do a series of things that violate international conventions, their countries' own laws and human rights. Dafa practitioners around the world have taken quick action and clarified the truth, helped the victimized governments and people to distinguish the evil, learn about the truth, and to correct their mistakes. As a result some good effects were achieved.
However, we can also hear some fellow practitioners' concern about these frequent emergency situations. On the one hand, we have large amount of daily truth clarification work to do, and on the other hand, urgent incidents take place one after another, all of which require immediate reactions and actions. Before one incident is completed the next one comes up. Will these urgent incidents affect our daily Fa promotion work that is already very heavy?
When we first look at it, the answer is yes. We have only one time and maybe only one opportunity to meet with the public at this particular time. Everyone's time and effort might not be enough to allow him or her to deal with so many things at one time. However, if we think more deeply, there are actually several layers of misunderstandings.
First, we should not separate short-term urgent incident from long-term Fa promotion work. Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference,"
"Wherever there's a problem, that is where you need to clarify the truth and save people. Don't take a detour when you run into difficulties. When you see something that does us harm, or when you see something blocking our validating the Fa, don't take a detour-you should face it, and clarify the truth and save those beings. This is the compassion (cibei) of a Dafa disciple, and it's our saving lives. At the same time, when you're clarifying the truth you can resolve the problem of many people having been deceived, the misunderstandings, and the prejudice." The fact that these short-term urgent incidents take place shows we have omissions and shortcomings in our work as a whole. Taking emergency actions to deal with sudden incidents is only one way to make up for the shortcomings in our long-term truth clarification work, and large amount of follow-up work still needs to be done by the local practitioners. It's a way to gather practitioners in other parts of the world to help, but more solid truth clarification work should be done by local practitioners through long-term Fa promotion in order to solve the problem fundamentally.
Secondly, we should incorporate the truth clarification work of the local area with that of elsewhere. Clarifying the truth to governments and people around the world is our common mission. In Fa-rectification, we are a whole body. Truth clarification work in some places may indeed need help from practitioners elsewhere.
Thirdly, we should incorporate the work dealing with local short-term urgent incidents with long-term truth clarification work in that country. One way to end this persecution is for all governments around the world to stand up to oppose the evil persecution. Only when we do well in long-term truth clarification work deeply and thoroughly can we gain timely help and support from related organizations and agencies of our own country when an urgent incident takes place. When a foreign incident requires support of a local society, it's a test of the local truth clarification work. Whether the local government and organizations can respond quickly and accurately and help stop other countries from making mistakes is also directly related to our long-term truth clarification efforts. If a government can do this, then the standpoint of this government and its social organizations will not only solidify the actual effects of truth clarification locally and nationally, it will also strengthen the effect of supporting other areas of the world in truth clarification and suppressing the evil.
