(Cleawisdom.net) On the evening of January 2, 2009, Divine Performing Arts Tour Company staged its first show in Ottawa, Canada, at the National Art Center. The theater was full. More than 25 hundred spectators enjoyed the show.
An attentive audience
World class show commended by all circles
Ottawa is a city that reflects both the British and French cultures. During the opening, the host asked in English, "Please applause if you understand English." Warm applause was heard throughout the theater. When the host asked the same question in French and then in Chinese, the audience applauded just as enthusiastically.
The audience was touched by the profound connotations in the show. Many were surprised to see a Falun Gong practitioner tortured to death by Chinese Communist Party police in the program "Persecuted on a Sacred Path."
At the end of the show, the audience in the first balcony stood up first and applauded warmly, followed by people in the second and third balconies. The audience members on the first floor seemed to still be enjoying the show, but stood up and offered warm applause when they heard the other floors clapping.
Former diplomat: This is a super A++ show.
A senior former Egyptian diplomat living in Quebec arrived at the theater right before the show due to traffic. He said the show exceeded his expectations.
He said, "Initially I gave it an A+, now I want to say this show is an A++." He said he would recommend it to his brother, "Fantastic. I've never heard such a great soprano. The pianist's performance is very good, too."
Singer: This is God's blessing.
Singer Pam Hodge
Ottawa singer Pam Hodge brought her daughter to the first show. She commented that it was a blessing to see the show. She said that during the show, the word "divine" appeared in her mind again and again. She thought it was really a show staged by deities.
Ms. Hodge will hold a concert in this theater next year. She composed music for several poems and recorded them on CD. Her songs are about praising life and seeking truth.
New immigrants: This is the pure art of truth, kindness, and grace.
Ms. Wang immigrated to Canada a year ago. She was a teacher in China. When she heard about the show, she came to Ottawa from another city nearby especially to see it. Afterwards, she said excitedly, "This is true art. Just like the introduction in the brochure, it is the pure art of truth, kindness, and grace. As a Chinese, I am very proud."
Ms. Wang said, "It is hard to see such a show in China. Now degraded things fill the Internet to attract people's attention. People in the arts have given up moral values. It has a very bad impact on society, especially the youth. The DPA show not only demonstrates the splendid Chinese culture but also reestablishes human beings' moral values."
