(Clearwisdom.net) The special performance by the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) in Washington D.C. on Feb. 10, 2009 caused a great sensation in local mainstream society. The grand show was staged in the Kennedy Center Opera House on the following evening. Celebrities in the field of art, politics, business and others highly praised the show as unique, inspiring and exciting. Many Chinese people in the audience were moved to tears by the righteousness of divine Chinese culture presented by the DPA. Many said no words could describe how moved and shaken they were.
The Kennedy Center Opera House is the dream performance venue for artists and a symbol of the maturity of their art and acceptance by the mainstream society. While many famous plays in big theaters are experiencing decline of tickets sales during this economic downturn, the DPA shows continue to enjoy increasing attendance.
Mr. Cui, originally from Fujian Province of China, said the merits of DPA for restoring classic Chinese culture were beyond measure. It was a good deed for the Chinese people and the whole world. He shed tears starting from the very first program. He couldn't tell why but he was very excited. Mr. Cui worked in the field of entertainment and propaganda when he was in China. He said dance and music in China were to sing the praises of the government. What he saw tonight was true art and the most touching art.
Mr. Wang came to the States a week ago. He said the DPA show was wonderful and heart-shaking. "I was in tears when I watched Persecuted on a Sacred Path, the program about Falun Gong practitioners. When I was in China, a Falun Gong practitioner friend gave me DVDs of DPA shows in the past years. I was impressed. My biggest wish for this trip was to watch a DPA show in person. I am so excited tonight! My trip paid off! I sincerely hope the DPA show will be on stage in China so that more Chinese will be able to see the truly outstanding traditional Chinese culture!"
Ms. Zhao was a teacher of political science in a middle school in Beijing. She was greatly shaken by the DPA show. She said the whole stage was so lifelike! Buddhas and Gods descending to the world, celestial maidens dancing, the gorgeous scene in heaven, all these were so vivid and lifelike. She added, "I don't know how, but my atheistic ideas were suddenly changed! I used to think Gods and Buddhas were superstition. When others talked about it with me, I had an aversion to it. I thought they were ignorant. But the Gods and Buddhas in the DPA show were so true and lifelike that I naturally accepted them. I didn't need to think. I feel great now that I believe there are Gods an Buddhas. We are protected and watched. There is such a beautiful place as heaven. It is great! I have hope now! I am no longer afraid of death that much. I used to think no one would know what we do. Now I know Gods are watching us. We must be good, do good things, listen to the good people and kindly treat those who cultivate themselves. The good will be rewarded, like what is told in the story of Jigong. Now I can make a connection between the programs. I know what I should do from now on...I am so happy today! I have been muddling along in life. Now I have a goal! I have found a direction! I will make my effort every day!"
