Renowned Landscape Artist Wang Guohe: The DPA Imparts Wisdom and Enriches The Soul

Landscape Artist Wang Guohe

This was Wang Guohe's third year watching the Spectacular show. The renowned landscape artist said the show brought him hope and amazed him by showing how profound the Chinese culture was. The many kinds of dances enriched Wang's heart. He said the colors used were very pure and penetrated deeply into his mind.

Wang was impressed by "The Udumbara's Bloom" because the artists danced like they were clouds and gave him the impression that they themselves were the holy udumbara flowers.

Wang had traveled to China before and seen the famous mountains. He thought the background landscape was just as elegant as it was realistic. "The DPA presented the compassion of religion and brought people wisdom in the form of dance, which was very natural."

Oil Painter Guo Rongwen: The Crowd Was Silent

Oil painter Guo Rongwen was thrilled the first time he watched the Spectacular. He said he'd never seen such a great art group in his frequent visits to the Tainan Municipal Culture Center. "I am so touched," said Guo.

Guo thought the backdrop matched very well with the performance in "Dance of the Yi". He was carried away by the liveliness of the "Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain". Tenor Guan Guimin's vocal artistry left Guo with a beautiful memory of the song.

Guo was amazed, "The entire two and a half hour show, the audience was so quiet, like everyone was holding their breath. I will come back next year and bring more people."

Painter Liu Rongying: Breath-taking Visual Effects

Painter Liu Rongying, who specializes in painting flowers and birds, currently teaches in the Department of Art of the National University of Tainan and the Department of Aesthetics and Visual Art of the Nanhua University. She believes dancers use their body language as painters use their brush to create art. They all need a lot of basic hard work. "I don't just paint flowers and birds, I want to express emptiness and divinity through them. After seeing the Spectacular, I see the artists were conveying this kind of spirituality though dance."

"The overall feeling was elegant, with classy colors and unique effects from the backdrop. I always felt God was far away, but not today. I suddenly felt many gods had come down and were sitting next to me. The DPA really presents something beautiful. In the current society, people seem to lack the sense of beauty. If more people can come and watch the show, perhaps it will change how people think and rectify this chaotic society."

Oil Painter Chen Zhenlong: I Will Definitely Invite Friends And Come Back

Oil painter Chen Zhenlong liked the stage setup and the music. He believed he could experience the five thousand years of Chinese traditional culture from the show. He thought the show was well balanced and well choreographed. He expressed the wish to come back next year with friends.
