(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) 2009 World Tour delighted a packed audience in London's famous West End at the renowned New London Theatre. Warm applause swept through the theater as the curtain rose at the start of each half.
Musicians and dancers in the audience were particularly impressed.
Fred, a retired teacher from the Royal Academy of Dance described the show as magnificent. "The dancing is very clean. Technically, they are very strong. The choreography is excellent!" he said. Fred had seen the DPA Spectacular last year.

Another member of the audience, Mr. Hall, a professor of music at Oxford, as well as an organist, singer, composer, human rights activist, orator, broadcaster, and freelance journalist, described the conductor as being "obviously very good," and the orchestra's abilities as "very fine." "I am interested in music and different ethnicities' traditions. I like this tradition very much, and I like that they wed it to compassion and tolerance," he said.
Ms. Cover, a commercial music student in Westminster thought the performance was, "absolutely lovely. It's very elegant. It's simple, but the movements are so powerful at the same time. With its simplicity, it's very peaceful and yet energetic at the same time, and you get a really good feeling from it. So I really liked it, it's amazing."
Mr. Wyrzykowski, a linguist, also liked the broad spectrum of genres. "My favorite part was probably the tumbles. My mum enjoyed the soprano singer. I think I enjoyed ... the combination of the digital arts and ... performers. That was really great, I really enjoyed it," he said.
When asked what touched him most about the show, he said, "I think, probably, the message. Nowadays, it's very important to connect to your past, to some spiritual tradition, to have some set of values that would help you in real life. And these values, these days, are quite often forgotten. I think that's the message, and it's quite important."
Make-up Artist: "The Colors Are Very Impressive"
Mr. Wu, a make-up artist, attended the show saying that he was curious to find out how DPA would present traditional Chinese culture to Western audiences. "It was very interesting. They really put a lot of effort into this performance and created a new impression for Chinese society and for non-Chinese as well," he said, his face glowing with joy.

Mr. Wu said, "I always, always wished Chinese artists, no matter if from Chinese traditional art or any other Chinese art form, could make a bit more effort."
Dance teacher, Lorna Clark was also impressed, "Very enjoyable. It was bright and colourful. I also loved the music. I'm a dance teacher; that's why I came here to see the show."
Being a former ballet dancer himself, he particularly appreciated the dance performances. "Very enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed it," he said.
Location Manager: "I'm absolutely Impressed"
Location manager, Ms. Tanisova of Macedonian descent, received an invitation to attend DPA from a Chinese friend of hers, who bought her a ticket as a birthday present.
Ms. Tanisova said, "I have never been to China and this was a wonderful introduction to the Chinese culture. And, I'm absolutely impressed--the elegance and grace of the dancers, as well as telling the story in such a light way."
"You know, for people like myself, who don't really have that much knowledge and history about the Chinese, just to give us a little background was very good."
Reflecting upon the spiritual elements conveyed in the show, Ms. Tanisova said, "I think it's very nice because life can be very stressful and this show generally puts everything in a light way, we should not take things for granted if you like, and just to remember the values of life."
Ms. Tanisova loved the gorgeously costumed dancers, praising "the colors of the dresses and the jewellery, which I love. I liked the one with the flower ["Udumbara's Bloom" dance]. Also the one where the lady played that instrument [erhu]."
