At a class reunion, I ran into an old friend who now works at a citizens' appeal office. We hadn't seen each other for years, and talked about all kinds of topics without reservation. We chatted about the political situation in China and the hard lives of the people there. My friend summarized his experience, "Corruption is rampant. That's how it is in today's society. You have to fit in to survive." His comments made everyone feel depressed about China's future. It described Chinese Communist Party members' modus operandi, which is to take advantage of others' weaknesses and trying to survive as the fittest.
The CCP promotes the theory of evolution, and uses it in society as well. Humans are treated as animals with emotions. The CCP always touts its "advanced" nature. It's so-called advances come from taking advantage of the weak to strengthen itself. That's why there are so many disadvantaged groups in China left behind. That's why 80 million people have died from unnatural causes under the rule of the CCP. That's why there are so many homeless people with broken families. In the eyes of the CCP, they are weak and are not worthy of sympathy or help. They deserve to be eliminated. Using violence, the CCP practiced "the survival of the fittest," but it forgot one main point: be it animals or plants, they need a basic environment - mother nature - to survive. Without this, plants and animals cannot exist. However, the CCP has destroyed the natural environment in the process of strengthening itself. The CCP has damaged mountains, oceans, forests, and rivers. The land of China is marred with scars. The living environment has become extremely poor, threatening the survival of future generations. This is the result of the CCP's attempts to "conquer" nature.
Ancient scholars from thousands of years ago spoke about man's relationship with nature. Man can only survive while living in harmony with nature, since nature is what brings prosperity to everything. People from ancient times showed respect for the earth, mother nature, and gods. Confucius talked about taking the "middle way," namely, not going to extremes. Lao Zi talked about "non-action," meaning not damaging nature and conforming to nature's ways. In history, China was able to prosper and create great cultures because of its harmony with nature. However, under the CCP regime, natural disasters abound. Although a few people have gotten rich, many ordinary people struggle to survive.
Ancient wisdom was that those who conform to the ways of nature would survive. It emphasized the interaction between men and nature. In contrast, the CCP's "survival of the fittest" is a narrow definition of competitiveness, encouraging men to conquer everything and thrive in competition. Having been indoctrinated with this school of thought, Chinese people suppressed by the CCP and those who are more disadvantaged in society accept their miserable fate. Deceived by the CCP, instead of fighting for their future, they give in and blame themselves for being "less capable." Witnessing CCP corruption, instead of stopping it, they think that this is just how society is, and that they need to fit in and accept it. Seeing the CCP bullying innocent, kind-hearted people and persecuting people of religious faith, instead of speaking up, they think they have no option but to succumb to the CCP's will. As people censor themselves to "keep harmony" with the CCP, they forget that their social and natural environments have been thoroughly destroyed by the CCP in the meantime.
The CCP's destruction of nature has rendered itself rootless in the cosmos. Those who conform to the CCP's distorted social orders are also on the brink of destruction. The real "fittest" are those in harmony of the universe, instead of those who compete at the cost of destroying others to get ahead. People must withdraw from CCP organizations if they want to survive and thrive for the long term.
