(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Fu Yanling lives in Xiaoerfang Village at Dagujiazi Town in Faku County, Liaoning Province. Simply because of practicing Falun Gong, she has been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the past several years. On many occasions, Ms. Fu and her husband Zhu Hongjun were arrested, detained, fined, subjected to brainwashing, sent to a labor camp, and forced to sell their land because they were unable to pay the fines to the Dagujiazi Town officials. At Longshan Labor Camp in Shenyang City, guard Yang Min shocked Ms. Fu with electric batons for a long period of time. There were blisters all over her head and face. Ms. Fu's collarbone was broken by the guards kicking her with leather boots, and the pain lasted for more than one year.
Ms. Fu started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. She used to have bronchial inflammation, but it went away several days after practicing Falun Gong. After the CCP started the persecution on July 20, 1999, Ms. Fu went to Beijing twice to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Then Dagujiazi Town police detained her for a month at Shenyang No. 5 Detention Center. Afterwards, she was detained at Dagujiazi Town for several days and forced to pay 600 Yuan. Ms. Fu was not released until she wrote a statement promising not to go to Beijing to appeal again.
In November 1999, Ms. Fu and several practitioners went to Dagujiazi Town to appeal for practitioners detained there. She was forced to stand for several hours and extorted out of 500 Yuan before being released.
In December 1999, Dagujiazi Town police detained Ms. Fu at Faku Detention Center for more than four months. During that period of time, several people physically and verbally abused her, including Wu Fenglin (Head of the Political and Judicial Committee in Faku County), Liu Guihua (Deputy head), Zhang Hongxi (Party Secretary), and detention center officials. They beat and swore at practitioners in addition to other physical abuses and hard labor. They also tortured practitioners with cold and hunger. Four months later, Ms. Fu was released after being forced to pay 1,000 Yuan.
At the end of 2000, Dagujiazi Town police detained several practitioners, including Ms. Fu, in the village. They were deprived of food and water for five days. Then, they were detained at Faku Detention Center for 32 days. Later, along with several other practitioners, they were detained at Wanjingju Hotel by the Dagujiazi Town police. Thirty-two days later, each of them was forced to pay 1,400 Yuan. Ms. Yanling and her husband were unable to pay the extortion fee, so they were forced to sell their land of 12 mu (about two acres) to pay the police.
In 2001, Ms. Fu and her husband were forced to stay away from home since police and government officials constantly harassed them.
In 2002, they were arrested in Xinmin City by Shenyang City's Dadong District police. Ms. Fu's husband Zhu Hongjun was nearly suffocated to death during the arrest. Later, Ms. Fu was detained at the Longshan Labor Camp in Shenyang City for a term of three years. Zhu Hongjun was detained at Zhangshi Labor Camp in Shenyang City for a term of two and a half years.
At Longshan Labor Camp, Ms. Fu initiated a hunger strike twice to appeal. One day, Yang Min, team leader in Division One, called Ms. Fu into a room and shocked her with an electric baton for a long time. This caused many blisters on her head and face. After the baton's charge ran out, Yang Min beat and kicked Ms. Fu for half an hour. She also kicked and broke Ms. Fu's collarbone, causing her great pain that lasted more than one year. During the hunger strike, Yang Min, the guard and inmates force-fed Ms. Fu many times. On each occasion, one person rode on top of her, and several people held her arms and head, while another person forcibly inserted the tube. Each time the tube was extracted, it was coated with blood. The last hunger strike lasted for about 35 days, and Ms. Fu was sent to the Shenyang City Prison Hospital. Sixteen days later, she was near death. Officials did not want her to die at the prison hospital and released her.
