(Clearwisdom.net) At around 8:00 a.m. on April 14, 2009, Beigou Street Police Station director Tan Linmao and over a dozen officers from the State Security Unit of the Police Bureau in Siping City in Jilin Province in the Tiexi District, and the Police Department State Security Unit broke into the building where practitioner Mr. Yuan Hongbiao lived. They pried the door open and arrested him and his wife, Ms. Xiu Jinbo. The police also confiscated many of their personal items.
At the same time, Xixiang Police Station director Ling Qiansheng and deputy director Guo Hanqing led several policemen, special agents, the assistant captain of the Statue Security Unit of Police Bureau in Siping City, and two policemen from the Tiexi District Police Department State Security Unit into the home of practitioner Mr. Wang Yuhe. They took Mr. Wang and his wife, Ms. Yuan Hongjin, even though Mr. Wang had severe injuries on his leg. They also ransacked Mr. Wang's home and confiscated many of their personal belongings.
The four practitioners were taken to Siping City Detention Center. The doctor said Mr. Wang's legs needed to be amputated because of the severity of the injuries. The guards were afraid of taking responsibility and released him on medical parole after extorting 5000 yuan from him. However, they threatened Mr. Wang that he had to be available at all times, or he would be detained in the detention center again.
After Mr. Wang returned home, he continued to study the Fa and do the Falun Gong exercises. His leg recovered in a short period of time. He then found a job at an electronics store. When the police found out, they called Mr. Wang at work on June 29 and tricked him into going to the Xiping Township Police Station. Then they took him to Siping Detention Center.
Mr. Yuan Hongbiao's daughter is still in elementary school. She now has no one to care for her.
