Case Description:
(Minghui.org) Ms. Jiang Zixiang was dealt a heavy blow when her son, Mr. Gao Yixi, died on April 30, 2016, under suspicious condition in custody ten days following his arrest for practicing Falun Gong.
For the next 1.5 years, Ms. Jiang and her family fought hard to seek justice for Mr. Gao. The mental distress took a toll on her health. She passed away on December 18, 2017. She was 88.
In addition to Mr. Gao and Ms. Jiang’s ordeal, her daughter has also been repeatedly arrested and harassed for her faith in Falun Gong. She was sentenced to three years in 2007 and four years in 2014. She was still serving time at Harbin Women’s Prison when Ms. Jiang passed away.
