(Minghui.org) Ms. Zou Cairong was a resident of Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. She was disabled by polio. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1995, she was able to walk without a cane, and her other diseases were healed, too. Her husband, who was nearly blind, had his vision restored by practicing Falun Gong.

The couple, however, had been repeatedly arrested for refusing to renouce their faith. Ms. Zou was detained at a labor camp for 111 days and later imprisoned for two years. Her mother, Ms. Lu Xiaolan, had no other caregiver and was sent to a bursing home. The elderly woman died in July 2003.

Ms. Zou's husband, Mr. Zhu Fei, lost part of his vision as he was unable to practice Falun Gong freely. While his wife was imprisoned, he struggled to care for their young child.

Ms. Zou filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in June 2015.

Her health worsened in recent years and she developed symptoms of a stroke. She died on February 9, 2017, at the age of 55.
