(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhang Lixiang, a resident of Daan City, Jilin Province, filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in May 2015. On the morning of August 25 that year, chief Song Youwen of Anguang Town Police Station called her, demanding she visit him to talk about the lawsuit. She refused to go but felt tremendous pressure.

That afternoon, chief Song and officers Zhang Hongbiao and Yan Haishao broke into her home and arrested her. She fell into a coma while still in the police cruiser. They drove her to Anguang Hospital, where she was diagnosed with brain hemorrhage and remained unconsicous for the whole afternoon. The police videotaped her despite her condition. Her family later sent her to Baicheng City Hospital that night.

Ms. Zhang remained hospitalized for more than one month.

Ms. Zhang's mother-in-law, Ms. Ma Fengyi, was arrested on September 13, 2017 for practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Ma was sentenced to three years with five years of probation in February 2018. In order to make a living, Ms. Ma, then 76, picked and sold trash while serving probation.

Her family's financial struggle put further pressure on the already stressed out Ms. Zhang. She had a stroke again on May 14, 2018 and died hours later, leaving behind her young son, elderly mother-in-law and parents.
