Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Mr. Zhou Tao, born on January 19, 1972, was an employee of Chuanqing Chemical Factory in Chongqing City.

He was arrested in 2003 together with his father, Mr. Zhou Yangui, and his younger sister for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. Officers Zhu Gang and Ran Zhidui beat them savagely.

Mr. Zhou and his father were both given one and half years of forced labor in Xishanping Labor Camp. During their detention, their salaries were suspended.

Mr. Zhou Tao was beaten so badly that he had a long gash on his neck and required dozens of stitches. The guards hit Mr. Zhou Yanggui's chest with a hammer and beat his head so hard that one of his eyes almost went blind. The elder Mr. Zhou died in October 2016.

Mr. Zhou Tao and his sister were arrested again later on and were paraded through the streets, causing deep psychological harm to them.

Mr. Tao was later forced to quit his job and struggled to make a living. He fell ill earlier this year and died on August 20, 2019. He was 47.
