Mr. Ma, a teacher from the First Middle School of Qingzhou, Shandong Province, and his wife, Mrs. Dong Xiuyun, were both over 70 years old. Because they practiced Falun Gong, they were arrested, detained and tortured by followers of Jiang's regime. Mr. Ma died in 2004 from persecution.
