Case Description:
Ms. Li Zhongzhen, 68, was an employee of Majia Township Livestock Management in Da County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. She had been under close monitoring since July 1999 by 610 Office personnel. On June 12, 2008, officers from Da County 610 Office and Domestic Security arrested him at his son's home in Guanghan City and detained him in Xuanhan Detention Center and the Dazhou City Brainwashing Center for three months. Soon after he was released from the brainwashing center in September 2008, half of his body became numb, he could not eat, and he died on January 6, 2009.
