Ms. Xie was an employee of Dingxing County Glass Tube Factory in the Baoding Area, Hebei province, and she lived in the County Livestock Bureau. In 2002, the police abducted Ms. Xie from her home and sent her to the Liyuzhuang Township Brainwashing Center, where she was inhumanly tortured. Her family was not informed until her life was in danger. Ms. Xie died soon after returning home.
