(Minghui.org) Mr. Chi Yaocai died as a result of multiple organ failure on February 11, 2015. He was 55 years old.

Mr. Cai worked at Tumen City Shixian Paper Mill prior to his arrest on September 2, 2011 for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. He was soon given two years of forced labor and sent to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp, a detention facility notorious for its maltreatment of Falun Gong practitioners.

Like many other detained practitioners, Mr. Cai was assaulted and tortured when he refused to give up his belief. The brutal torture caused severe damage to his liver, kidney, heart, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Mr. Cai was released on medical parole on April 27, 2012, only to die about three years later, never having recovered from his injuries.
