Mengyin, is a very beautiful and peaceful place. People who live here used to be so kind-hearted. Life in this area used to be so calm and peaceful. However, since July of 1999, Jiang Zemin and a handful of his followers started the crackdown on Falun Gong. They started their evil attempts against heaven and people's will. Mengyin could not escape the sin as well as its abuse. The dignity of the law was smashed, conscience disappeared, rumors were overflowing, and brutality was the fashion, people's blood flowed on this ground. Thugs and gangs found their perfect jobs in government and the police department. Compassionate people were beaten, fined, insulted, hounded, followed, punished and jailed. Ignorant people were deceived, evil mobs were laughing, kind-hearted people cried---the ground of Mengyin is trembling.
Around the Chinese Spring Festival, a special task force was formed to deal with the Falun Gong issue. It was lead by Mengyin County leaders Wang Changli, Li Zhiye and Lei Yancheng. They ordered their subordinate villages and towns to hire gangs of men, to force Falun Dafa practitioners to attend "transforming classes". To deal with Falun Dafa practitioners, they used various unheard of brutal means such as scalding with boiling water, burning with lit cigarettes, beating with clubs, drenching in ice water, forcing a practitioners head into a iron container with human feces and hitting it repeatedly with a shovel to stir up the stench, forcing practitioners to sit in snow with a fan blowing them, physically and sexually harassing women, ransacking home, levying heavy fines etc.
During the "class", Taoqu town's leader and his followers, Liu Xingshi, Mo guangli and Tian Liegang forced practitioners to beat themselves. Duozhuang town police heads Zhang, Shimin and Du, Zhongtia broke practitioner Quan Gongrun's left leg, and Xu Zengjian's nose. Policeman Liu Yunajin and three accomplices wore face masks and sneaked in to female prison, they handcuffed female practitioners, bound their eyes, dragged them out of the prison and sexually assaulted them for more than 3 hours. The mobs of Tanbu town sat on female practitioners while beating them into comas. Jiuzhai town head Li Mingguo ordered his followers to put practitioners heads into iron containers containing human excrement and beat on the containers with shovels until the shovels were broken. A rough estimate gives that in Mengyin, 3 practitioners were sentenced; over 1,100 were illegally jailed, detained, beaten, and fined. The longest illegal detention was 169 days. The above mentioned 5 towns collected fines as much as 2,276,000 Yuan (about $300,000; individually, at least 100 Yuan per person, the most was 15,700 Yuan per person, some practitioners were fined 4 times). In Mengyin, at least 60 practitioners' houses were ransacked and almost everything, such as furniture, wood, electronics, farming tools, fertilizer, grains, seeds, and all kinds of livestock and fowl, were taken away. The practitioners' lives fell into dire straits. Their children had to quit school. One family had to sell the empty house to pay the fines and left the whole family without a room or food. On the other hand, one of Tanbu town's leaders Li Zhiye got rewarded with a vacation trip along with a dozen of his followers.
Taoqu town head Liu Xingshi wantonly reinterpreted laws and trampled the dignity of law for his personal use. When practitioners asked "Which laws did we break, why do you torture us?" he answered: "You will know what is law later on". Immediately, a mob of a dozen men came in and beat practitioners using long bats for 3 hours, a chair was smashed. Blood flowed all over the ground. Then he said, "See, this is the law, who else has a question, let me know." Duozhuang town policemen and their accomplices took and ate the food sent by practitioners' family members for their jailed relatives and gave the leftovers to practitioners. Policeman Fang Simin, took away six out of nine pieces of undergarments sent to jailed female practitioners. All Falun Dafa practitioners replied with no complaints at all from the very beginning to the very end, "beaten with no fighting back, abused with no grumbling".
During this inhumane brutal persecution, some of our practitioners did not pass the test and unwillingly wrote pledges and said disrespectful words of Dafa and our master. We solemnly state that all of these pledges and words are invalid. We will again prove ourselves to be genuine practitioners.
Those evil gangs did their best to cover up their sins, not even thinking of any correction. When a practitioner tried to persuade Li Minguo, head of Jiuzhai town, not to beat practitioners, he denied the beatings without even blinking his eyes. Most of the fines they collected had no receipts. Taoqu town actually forced us to give back their fine receipts. Police head Tian Liegang kicked the arm of a practitioner's relative recently reset from dislocation; he then threatened doctors not to tell anyone about it. When the mobs beat practitioners they always turn off the lights and cover them up, especially when assaulting female practitioners. Well, you can turn off lights and cover up to deceive your own and others, you can collect back all the fine receipts and destroy the evidence and you can use your power to threaten others not to expose you, but how can the facts and the truth be diminished?
"The wicked and evil will soon be eliminated, the vile ones in the human world will receive due retribution." To list the names of those wicked and evil ones is for the purpose of letting people see and recognize the facts. When they receive due retribution, that "good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil" is a true natural rule. Being a human should be a kind-hearted one and the one that assimilates with the universe characteristics "Zhen, Shan, Ren" (Truthfulness, Benevolent, Forbearance).
