[Mainland China] The Wicked People Attempt to Lay their Murderous Hands on Chen Zixiu's Daughter

Chen Zixiu, a Dafa practitioner from Weifang, Shandong Province died in police custody after severe police brutality and torture, undoubtedly sanctioned by Jiang Zemin who has been supplied with deliberately untrue information from Luo Gan. Her daughter Zhang Xueling repeatedly appealed to various departments and informed as many people as possible about the horrific situation. As a result, she was illegally arrested and detained by police on the charge of "leaking state secrets." According to a recent internal source, Luo Gan is now making an attempt to lay his murderous hands on Zhang Xueling.

Luo Gan has been secretly staying in Anqiu, Weifang City and it appears he has been plotting something grossly unjust. During this period, the phones in Weifang City are being monitored, and cellular phones (such as Shenzhouxing, etc.) which formerly did not require a registration of resident I.D. were no longer working (Note: In China, some cellular phone companies require their customers to register their resident I.D. before the cellular phone can be activated for security purpose, but others do not). The police are also looking for people who are logging on the Internet. All the Internet accounts at "163" (the name of a company) require registration of personal identification, phone number, and name of the head of the household.

People around the world are closely watching the actions of wicked people like Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, etc. The fall wind is approaching [Note: In Chinese, this means that justice is coming close]. We hope that the government officials will conduct themselves well and will refrain from cruelly harming civilians, in case they one day find that not even the heavens can forgive them and they will then be beyond redemption.

[Mainland China] The police in Dalian blocked and examined all transportation leading to Beijing

Currently, police in Dalian are stationed at bus stations, train stations, wharves, etc leading to Beijing and force boarding passengers to denounce Dafa and the Teacher, etc, otherwise they are taken away immediately and illegally interrogated and detained. The day before, there were many practitioners illegally taken away and detained. In the so-called "Bright Pearl of the North" -- Dalian, which claims to be an international modern city, there are many tourists from all over the world (especially during the tourist season at the moment) witnessing such serious acts of human rights violation. It not only violates the rights and interests of the tourists, but also, more seriously, tarnishes the image of Dalian.

[Mainland China] Some cultivation stories of practitioners in Shanghai

On July 20, 1999 when the evil large-scale suppression of Falun Dafa and its practitioners began, many practitioners all over the country were arrested. After the practitioners in Shanghai learned the news from Minghui website, at 8:00am on July 21, about one thousand practitioners went to the People's Square, where the city government is located, to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa. The petition ended at about 6:00pm. According to the city government's record, over 200 practitioners were allowed to enter the petition office. The practitioners were eventually forced to leave by a large group of armed police. The practitioners sat together with their legs crossed and recited "Lunyu" [A Statement of Comments']. Each practitioner was lifted up by four police and then thrown into a van. The practitioners were interrogated overnight. The police videotaped the event, and all the practitioners who went to petition were interrogated by the local police. The practitioners took the opportunity to tell the police about Falun Dafa. Some immediately went to Beijing to appeal afterwards.

After July 22, practitioners in Shanghai held many large and small-scale group practices and Hongfa (Dafa promoting) activities at Waitan, Hongkou Park, Yangpu Park, Zhongshan Park, and Liujiaoting at Gonghexin Rd, etc. Because of these activities, many practitioners were detained and sent to labor camps.

In order to safeguard Dafa and maintain a cultivation environment, practitioners held a number of large and small-scale experience sharing conferences. Two of the conferences at New Century Park had about 50 participants. The number of experience sharing conferences held at practitioners' homes, with 10-60 people, were countless. Many practitioners were detained and sent to labor camps for these activities.

Only a small number of practitioners went to Beijing to petition last year. Through experience sharing conferences and communication between practitioners on Minghui website, numerous practitioners went to Beijing this year, and many were detained and sentenced to labor camps.

On July 3, 2000, Minghui posted a notice, "At present, for every disciple both inside and outside of China, clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world is the most important task in 'assisting the teacher in the human world". Some practitioners in Shanghai downloaded from the Minghui website, edited, printed and distributed materials that explained what Falun Gong is and the persecution of Dafa practitioners to practitioners. In a short time, the Dafa materials were constantly appearing on streets, in residential areas and offices of companies in Shanghai. The police forced copy shops to stop printing Dafa materials so the practitioners printed and made copies by themselves and handed them to other practitioners to distribute. One elderly couple always felt that they did not have enough materials to distribute. No matter how many they received, they distributed them all, and neither wind nor rainstorms could not stop them.

[Mainland China] On July 2, 2000 in Shenzhen, some practitioners were arrested at home because they refused to write a pledge (the pledge asked them to give up the rights provided by the Chinese Constitution). Recently, a large number of practitioners including Peng Gonghui and Li Lin were sent to a labor camp at Sanshui in Guangdong.
