On October 30 and 31, three presidential candidates and their representatives came to Minnesota to meet the voters. We decided to use this opportunity to promote Dafa and clarify the facts to the people.

On October 30, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore met with over five hundred Gore supporters. The Mayor of Minneapolis, stated publicly: "We support Falun Gong ". Her words made people spontaneously look at the Dafa practitioners, who were wearing bright yellow T-shirts. After that, a lot of people took the time to read the colorful poster practitioners had prepared, which clarified the situation in China. Most of people took away Falun Gong flyers. One woman wanted to take a picture of our poster. A practitioner gave the woman a smaller poster. She expressed her appreciation again and again.

That evening, Green party candidate Nader met with about six hundred supporters at the University of Minnesota. Practitioners handed out many leaflet. Mr. Nader read one of the flyers and asked a practitioner in Chinese: "Can you speak Chinese?" This American practitioner replied at once in Chinese: "I can." Then he continued, "I hope that you can support us. In China, tens of thousands of people are suffering suppression. I hope you can do your best to help us." Nader answered: "I know all of this. I support you!"

On the afternoon of October 31, Republican candidate George w. Bush spoke to about 8,000 voters at Sun Country airport. As the voters were leaving, they read the poster that practitioners held high so it could be seen. Some people stayed to watch the exercises and asked for flyers. Many expressed their admiration and their support for Falun Gong.

Through these two days of Hong Fa activities clarifying the facts, practitioners understood that we should use all kinds of ways in everyday society and use every opportunity to promote Dafa and let the public know the real situation about Dafa in China. Although the politicians were campaigning, the practitioners were not engaging in politics at these events.
