We have carried out a series of large scale Dafa promotion activities in various cities by holding seminars in local libraries in Ohio. We put advertisements in libraries and newspapers. We have made smooth progress although we have only been working on it less than one month. We have gone to about twenty cities to hold seminars. In those cities that we have not had the opportunities to go to yet, we published Dafa articles in their newspapers and displayed Dafa material in libraries. During this process, we obtained help from kind-hearted people. There were several times that the library staff helped us to contact newspapers to release the news of holding seminars and to publish Dafa introductory articles. A library secretary who is also the staff of several local newspapers, not only gave us help to publish the Dafa articles in newspapers, but also went through the Dafa website and printed some colorful pictures and Dafa-introductory articles to post in the library. Some library officials also sent the seminar flyers to the libraries in neighboring cities. The editors and correspondents of newspapers also gave us help. Usually I contacted the chief news editors. Normally they will release seminar information. There were various situations: Some newspapers would display the seminar information in the column of local activities. Some newspapers would introduce Dafa besides issuing the seminar news. Some correspondents interviewed me by telephone before the seminar began and then reported it to publicize the event. Some editors, correspondents, and photographers themselves took part in the seminars and published their articles. Whatever the formats were, they produced very good results for Dafa promotion. In addition, some employees in the libraries and newspaper offices have interest in Dafa themselves. Some of them have ever practiced Taichi and are very interested in oriental cultures.
Besides utilizing newspapers and libraries to promote Dafa in neighboring cities, we also combined other ways. If we had extra time left on the day we held seminars, we would go to universities, bookstores, shopping malls, and some other areas to distribute Dafa material.
During the whole process, we had numerous moving experiences and enlightenments. Whenever we saw the active and serious attitude of audiences, whenever we saw their reluctance to leave, whenever we heard them sharing experience with excitement, whenever they discussed together that they wanted to construct a local practice site, whenever they hurried to the seminar on a freezing and windy night, whenever they grasped my hand tightly to express appreciation, whenever they asked us when we would go to their city again, etc.At this moment, besides feeling happy for them, I would blame myself deeply at the same time: maybe they have waited for a long time! I made a determination to myself that I would try my best to bring Dafa to more and more places.
During this process, I also deeply realized that it was important to make ordinary people involved in clarifying the truth and promoting Dafa. On one side, it accelerates the Dafa promotion. Because of their occupation, sometimes it is more convenient for ordinary people to do some job of promoting Dafa. On the other side, it is saving people. In the speech at the San Francisco experience sharing conference on October 21, Teacher said: "On the surface, we are seeking support for Dafa from people, it is the mind of people shown in human society. However, on the other side, it is reversed. Whoever support Dafa and propagate Dafa in positive side, he is creating the basis for his life existence and obtaining Fa in the future."
In addition, I deeply feel that the whole process of promoting Dafa and clarifying the truth is intimately connected with my own cultivation. Cultivation exists in every minute and every circumstance. We also should have the intention to promote Dafa in every minute and every circumstance and utilize all opportunities to clarify the truth and promote Dafa. What's more, in every minute I feel grateful to the Teacher's compassion and painstaking efforts of saving people. All opportunities are arranged by the Teacher in order to make disciples able to improve themselves while saving people at the same time. I am deeply grateful to the Teacher and wish I could advance diligently and repay the grace of the Teacher.
