[Guangdong Province] A Large Number of Practitioners Went to Beijing to Safeguard Dafa For the First Time

In various places in Guangdong, large numbers of practitioners came out for the first time and went to Beijing to safeguard Dafa. In the surrounding provinces and cities, the Dafa practitioners including those who came out for the first time and those who have never stepped forward before are also in action.

Dafa practitioner Xie Shaodong from Guangzhou City was arrested illegally again by the Guangzhou police. The families of many illegally arrested Dafa practitioners call for attention from people of all circles and call for the Guangzhou police to stop their illegal actions. During the Culture Revolution, the policemen who persecuted the good persons came to no good end. People ought to learn from those lessons.

[Hebei Province] Officials in Hebei Teacher's University Oppress Dafa Practitioners

Su Min (pseudonym) was a student of Psychology Department of Science Education Academy in Hebei Teacher's University in 1999. Su Min started cultivation in May 1999 and went to Beijing to appeal in December. She was then detained in Red Flag Street Police Substation for about one month. During the detention she was put in the same cell with male inmates. She was handcuffed to a tree in the police substation in the coldest winter because she persuaded other practitioners to firmly cultivate Dafa and refused to write a letter guaranteeing she would not practice Falun Gong. To evade responsibilities, her university expelled her from school prior to receiving the verdict from the police substation. She was later transferred to her hometown for forced transformation. After she guaranteed never going to appeal again, she went back to her university on probation in October this year. When she returned to the university, the deputy secretary, Zhang Hushan, tried to persuade her many times and asked her to write a report exposing and criticizing Dafa. His request was refused. In November this year she was sent back to her hometown again. The family was already in debt of several tens of thousand Yuan for her college studies. Her parents could not take it any more. With the help from many people, she was sent back to the university, but the officials at the university continued their unreasonable requests.

Her classmate Mingzhu (pseudonym) went to Beijing with her and was already expelled from school. In Hebei province, there were 6 college students expelled from school due to practicing Dafa.

The Secretary of Chemistry Department, Chen Baolei from West Campus of Hebei Teacher's University repeatedly passed out the "Communist Party Members Evaluation Standard" to the Party members in the department. According to the document, only those who expose and criticize Dafa will be qualified as Party members. Party member will be forced to make known their positions.

The two human rights violation cases described above are still going on. We call for all kind-hearted people in the world to pay attention to the situation.

[Guangdong Province] Jiang Zemin to Visit Macau; Dafa Practitioners Lose Freedom

According to a source in Guangzhou City, to secure the activities that will be participated by Jiang Zemin on December 20 in Macau and prevent Falun Gong practitioners from coming to Zhuhai City near Macau, the officials from local government in Guangdong Province are holding transformation classes for those Dafa practitioners who believe in Dafa firmly and have appealed or practiced in public. Currently, there are 60 to 80 practitioners detained. They were put under house arrest starting on December 14 and won't be released until December 22. They were required to write letters guaranteeing that they would not practice anymore, and would not be released without this pledge letter. The Chigangjie Street police substation in Guangzhou City forced a large number of practitioners to Ocean Bureau Guest House for house arrests. Some of the practitioners wrote the pledge letters and were released. However, the rest of the practitioners were still in custody.

News from Qingyuan:

A Dafa practitioner, Zhang Hong, from Qingyuan, female, was taken into custody from her home after the policemen found out she distributed flyers. Later, the policemen searched her home and found more materials from Minghui Net. They even took her parents and other relatives together with her!

News from Shenzhen City:

Jin Xingwang and Jiang Xiaowen were arrested on July 2, 2000.

Li Fulin, Zhou Lei, Liu Xuefei, Liu Qian, Zeng Michan, Fang Jinru were arrested in October this year.

The eight practitioners mentioned above were taken into custody by the policemen without cause since they were suspected of doing things for Dafa. The families were not allowed to visit practitioners in detention until recently. Still, only the family members who do not practice Falun Gong are allowed to visit. Aunty Shi, about 50 years old, was arrested simply because she sent clothes to Liu Qian.

[Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Police in Lushan District of Jiujiang City Arrests Many Falun Gong Practitioners

From November 9 to 15 in 2000, four police substations of Lushan District Police Department in Xingang, Shili, Liujiatang and Lianhua dispatched a lot of policemen to raid Falun Gong practitioners' homes. They detained by force more than ten practitioners (including disabled persons and senior women) and put them into Shili Detention Center. All these policemen wearing uniforms and emblems should serve the people, but they turned into tools for brutally suppressing the people and trashing the dignity of the law.

On November 9, Wan Shousong, the director of Lianhua police substation, and the political instructor Ling Jiazhen, vice instructor Zhou Chengquan, policeman Gu Qi, Chen Liangli and other 3 policemen from No.1 Division of District Police Department went to Cui Qingjiao's home, who is disabled. They ransacked her home and took away their family's personal phone book while she was not home. Later, they arrested and put in detention Cui Qingjiao and her mother for half a month. Director Fang Shousong and other four searched the home of Luo Yimin, an employee of Huasheng Factory. They were extremely angry because they did not find any Dafa book. Mr. Luo was threatened and he dare not go back home and to his factory to work. No one knows his whereabouts now.

Mr. Luo had been detained three times and fined 3,000 RMB.

In the morning on November 9, director Shu Fusheng of Saiyang police substation with Wang XX and other 7 policemen from No. 1 Division of District Police Department went to search Dafa practitioner Hu Ruifang's private store and home.

On the morning of November 15, director Wang Nanhua of Shili police substation, together with vice-director Liu Bin, policemen Peng Zhengqiang, Li Erdan, Chen Zaijing ransacked the homes of Wang Shan, a 61-year-old retired employee of No. 9 Silk Factory, and Zhong Weizhen (also 61-year-old) of No. 5725 Factory. Then the two innocent old people were detained for half a month.

On the same day, Cui XX and other four from Xingang police substation searched the dormitory of Chen Shiwu from Wuli Town, Dai Maonuu, Kong Jinxiu from Xingang Rubber Factory, and Yang Wei, Liu Shouyu from 806 Factory. They put the five practitioners into a detention center. Director and vice director of Liujiatang police substation with policemen Zhong Hongbing and other two ransacked the home of retired worker Gui Shuirong (60-year-old) from Instrument and Meter Factory, retired worker Sun Hanfang (60-year-old) and Huang Zhenxing (38-year-old) from Lighter Machine Factory, Zhang Jingmin of Jiangxi Plastic Factory. They detained Sun Hanfang, Huang Zhenxing for half a month. As Sun Hanfang was too old to be detained, the director of detention center asked him to pay 2000 Yuan for the early release. Political instructor Ling Jiazhen, Gu Qi, Chen Liangli of Lianhua police substation searched the homes of retired worker Yu Chunxiu (62-year-old), Zhang Huili (45-year-old) and Zhu Cuixiu (61-year-old). At Yu Chunxiu's home, despite the dissuading of her disabled old husband, they threw out every piece of her clothes from the cabinet. Yu Chunxiu's husband is an old soldier who served in the Korean War, and is a veteran Party member who deserves respect. This kind of raid aggravated his disease. At Zhang Huili's home, Zhang Liangli put his hands into her clothes to search her. On the next morning, another police group came and took her to the detention center.

Lushan District police had told the sister of the detained Dafa practitioner Zhang Jing (32-year-old) to pay 1000 Yuan for his release. But after the payment, they did not keep their promise and even put him into Majialong Labor Camp for two years of labor re-education. Practitioner Zhao Yufang (female, 37-year-old) had been beaten, force fed pepper water, and electrically tortured. Then she was sent to Nanchang City Female Jail for three years labor re-education. Practitioner Cao Jing (female, 18-year-old) was detained in Jiujiang City Detention Center she had Dafa materials. Chen Qing (female, 26-year-old) has been in detention at Jiujiang Detention Center as of now because she went to appeal in Beijing.

[Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Be Alert: Special Agent Spying On and Arresting Dafa Practitioners

Luo Siyin in No.1 Division of Lushan District Police Station has stayed in Beijing for one year as a special agent. He cheated and detained those practitioners with a Jiujiang accent who came to appeal in Beijing. He has arrested dozens of practitioners and sent them to detention centers and labor camps. The number of their relatives involved has reached several hundred.
