Cultivation Is Not a Wager

With my personal cultivation barrier broken through, I have walked into the stream of Fa rectification with a mind that became more and more sober. After I awakened, I felt extremely ashamed of myself, in the face of the Teacher, Dafa, and our fellow practitioners who have been safeguarding Dafa with their lives.

At a Fa conference, an elderly lady, of 86, who did not even know her name spoke out in plain language, "I do not know how to get enlightened, but I just do whatever the Teacher would like me to do. In my mind, this is nothing but rectifying Fa." In another case, a young practitioner, 7 to 8 years old, was eager every day to go, together with her mother, to Beijing to validate Fa after her mother awakened. Knowing that her mother still could not leave, right away, because of her local work for Dafa, he said, "I can not wait for you anymore. I have to go." With a childlike innocent heart for Dafa, he then went to Beijing with a fellow practitioner. After being sent back home by police, I asked him, "Son, how are you feeling? Are you scared?" He said, "I do not have too feel much. I am not scared." There was another practitioner who tried to go to Beijing three times. However, she was caught halfway every time she left for Beijing and ended up being detained three times. She felt sorry for not being able to set foot in Beijing and raise a banner in Tiananmen Square. Many of her fellow practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor education, but surprisingly enough she got released, which she did not understand. After she got home, she did not think about herself. Instead, she thought about how she could fulfill her wish of going to Beijing. She also thought of other practitioners. She then went to look for her fellow practitioners, one after another, and exchanged ideas regarding Fa rectification with them one by one. Shortly afterwards, she was able to take over 30 fellow practitioners to Beijing. At last, her wish came true. She raised a Falun Dafa banner in front of the Great People's Hall and spoke out loudly, "Falun Dafa is great!" The voice echoed in the Tiananmen Square and shook the entire universe. It also shook my inner heart. She came back once again to awaken her fellow practitioners, one after another.

While over 80 practitioners have died during the persecution and tens of thousands of practitioners are suffering tribulations, what am I waiting for? On the way of Fa rectification, there have not been any other choices. Nor do we need to rely on our enlightenment quality to act, because the Teacher has made everything crystal clear and fellow practitioners have paved a road for us with their blood and lives. The answer to the exam has been released. It is now just a matter of copying, but I still ponder when is the best time to copy. I still use my human mentality to judge the heavenly arrangement, to look on the overall development of Dafa, and to wait for the outcome. Superficially, I may look rational, not prematurely rash, and practical. In fact, I have disguised my innermost dirtiness. I treat Dafa with a merchant's mind of speculation. I am actually negotiating with the Teacher. I am indulged in the human world. Instead of thinking what I myself should do and truly placing myself in the position of a Fa particle, I weighed my gain and loss in Fa among all the things I did. The teacher once said (Note: not Teacher's original words) that the meaning of a life does not lie in its outcome, but in its entire course. If the ultimate outcome were clearly exposed, then is it cultivation? Only under the circumstances when one cannot obviously see the outcome can the purity and righteousness of his mind be manifested. It is only a superficial formality that we see from a human perspective. Only from a different realm can we see the true status of mind of a person. Only the most pure hearts can embody the solemnity and sacredness of Buddha Fa in the human world. The Teacher said, "I would never take any substandard disciples." At such a serious time, we can never wager on Fa. Now we have been made fully aware that we need to keep taking actions in our cultivation until the last one. We have known what the last action should be, what the test of whether one can put life and death behind him is supposed to be, and what realm of unselfishness and selfless ness is. Then, why cannot we......?!

"It is a xinxing problem if one does not care in case of murder and arson." Now we have seen that the Teacher is suffering for us disciples, Dafa is being defamed and slandered in the human world, and over 80 practitioners have died during the persecution, how can we stay easy and unmoved? Many fellow practitioners have hit the road to Beijing one after another to validate the Fa. We should no longer linger on the human level either. Let's put everything in the human level down including our lives. Our lives were created by Fa. Our lives should become splendid and sublimated in the process of Fa rectification. I once questioned myself if I was well spoken, well read and exercised well, where was I when Fa and the Teacher needed me. It is not as important for somebody to need me as for Fa to need me, because what do we come here for? We are here to assist the Teacher to accomplish his mission in the human world! We should base all our actions on Fa. Everything should give way to Fa rectification. This is because without Dafa there was nothing. Cherishing Dafa is the same as cherishing our lives and giving compassion to sentient beings. What is compassion? In my opinion, compassion is to eradicate the roots of evil and safeguard Dafa. This is true compassion to all living beings. "Enlightenment in a right way is a requirement for one to become a dedicated practitioner." We should become enlightened to the Fa in a right way. We should not linger in the human level any longer. Do not make any excuse for our human notions. Let's step forward and immerse ourselves into Fa. We have already had many regrets and we should not create any more regrets. Let's make the last step that we must before we can get to our destination.
