[Changji, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Behind the claim of so-called "many Dafa disciples having been transformed"

Recently, there is news from a labor camp of Changji municipal Public Security Bureau, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, claiming that many Dafa disciples have been transformed. In fact, this is a piece of fabricated news by the Changji municipal Public Security Bureau. I came to realize it after I overheard accidentally a conversation between two policemen. The fact is: Only three people in the jail wrote the statement of repentance while the rest of the practitioners are very firm in Dafa cultivation. Yet, all the resolute practitioners suffered from inhumane persecution. The police said openly to a resolute practitioner, "We'll tell people outside that you have been transformed and have written the statement of repentance. See what's the use of being so firm!"

[Changchun, Jilin (province)] Situations in Tiebei Detention Center

Tiebei Detention Center in Changchun is a place to detain prisoners of death penalty or major criminals. At present, most of the Falun Dafa practitioners, who were arrested because they went to Beijing or distributed Dafa flyers, etc., are detained here as criminal offenders. They were usually detained here for a month and then were forced to receive labor reeducation for one to three years in Heizuizi Labor Camp. Few of them have been released.

There used to be six female cells in Tiebei Detention Center, with an average of ten Falun Gong practitioners in each. After October 1, a large number of Falun Gong practitioners were arrested, and over 35 practitioners were kept in each cell. Till mid-October, though two female cells were added, there are still, in average, 35-38 practitioners in each cell, with an ever-increasing tendency. At present, half of the people in custody in the eight female cells are Falun Gong practitioners, about 150 in all.

The practitioners make the best use of their time in exchanging cultivation experiences, and encouraging each other. Though the condition in the cell is too poor even for daily life, practitioners take hardship as joy, regard themselves as genuine cultivators, and do quite well. All the prisoners call them Falun Gong, and enjoy staying with them. Many prisoners said that they would learn Falun Gong after they came out of there.

[Changchun, Jilin (province)] Honor or Shame

There's a blackboard in a corridor in Changchun municipal Public Security Bureau. Recently, the names of several "activists of Falun Gong suppression" are on the board. They are respectively: director Shen Fenghua, deputy director Qi Weiming, and Zhao Yifu, Wang Yi, Sun Deming, Jiang Bo, Kong Xiangping, etc. Regarding kind Falun Gong practitioners as enemies, arresting them and beating them, without knowing what is righteous or vicious, what is benevolence or evil, is it honor or shame? The masses have their judgments in their hearts, and history will also give a fair ruling.

[Changji, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] A New Round of Persecution

Now, a new round of persecution is being conducted to Dafa disciples in Changji, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. On November 3, using the excuse of looking for a Dafa disciple, National Defense Group of Changji municipal Public Security Bureau had a search in the Storage Battery Factory in the city. Several Dafa practitioners in the factory were arrested. If Dafa materials were found in his/her home, the practitioner will be arrested. The police also conduct various means of surveillance over the practitioners, and offer 1,000 to 5,000 (equal to 1-6 months worth of salary of a common worker) to whoever reports Dafa practitioners or catches the distributor of Dafa materials---openly punishing good people and encourage evil-doing.

[Jinagxi Province] A Practitioner's Family Member Realizes He has been Told Lies

Over 90 Falun Dafa practitioners have been detained in Jiangxi Female Re-education Center. When one practitioner had been detained for over 40 days (extended detention), her husband asked the police whether she would be labor reeducated. The police lied, saying that none of the practitioners had been labor reeducated up to then.

Through inquiry, her husband found out that she has been sent for 3 years of labor reeducation, and realized that the police were lying to him, that the department enforcing the law was actually breaking the law and deceiving the common people.

[Unknown Place] Evil Can No Longer Hide

It happened in a certain place: The whole family is cultivating Falun Dafa and was kept in the detention center because they went to appeal. Their relative went to the relevant department, telling that these practitioners are good people at home, in their working units and in the society, that they shouldn't be detained. One director took the chance and asked for 10,000 (over a year's salary of a common worker). Although the relative knew that Falun Dafa practitioners wouldn't encourage the evil trends (he's not a practitioner), he submitted 10,000 since he was eager to have them released and couldn't find other good means.

However, the director's superior found out. The relative was also feeling surprised: I didn't tell anybody else. Did he reveal it to others himself?

The director phoned the relative: "First, don't tell the practitioners that you gave me 10,000. They dared expose Jiang Zemin's evil, and will probably reveal me someday. Second, go and tell my superior that I didn't accept your money."

The relative felt at a loss, but eventually told the truth to the director's superior who returned the money to the relative later.

[City Unknown] About psychotropics

Upon reading Teacher's teaching with regard to psychotropics, I was suddenly reminded of one incident. Around the National Day (October 1, 2000), three female practitioners in our city went to Beijing to validate Dafa. Since they didn't have identity cards (Dafa practitioners' identity cards had been confiscated to deter their going to Beijing), they had to put up in a basement where identity cards were not required. When they went to bed in the evening, they noticed some smoke or mist in the room, but they didn't pay too much attention to it. Before dawn, the male owner opened the door and entered the room. One of the practitioners sat up right away and asked, "How did you get in? Get out now!" He was caught by surprise that they could talk, and stayed dumbfounded for quite a while before leaving the room. In the morning the owner came again, bringing three nice looking gourds, and told them, "Open the lids and have a look. We sell them." After the owner left, the three practitioners examined the gourds and opened the lids, while thinking about things related to Fa rectification. About an hour later, the owner and another person unlocked the door and came in. When they saw the three of them were still sitting there full of energy without anything strange having happened, the two men almost shouted out of shock, "Who the hell are you? Are you human or deity after all?" The three practitioners were surprised, and felt that this place was a little weird.

Later on they came to know that this inn is specialized in robbing the lodgers by making them loose consciousness with hallucinogens. Before you wake up, you would have been moved to a different place. Thus when you wake up, you would not know what has happened except that you are penniless. This incident proved a point from its perspective: Hallucinogen has no effect on Dafa practitioners. What matters is the human's mentality. Only when you care about it will it have a constraint on you.

[Jiamusi, Heilongjiang (province)] Recent situation in Jiamusi

1. Over 100 Dafa practitioners are being held in the detention center. Practitioner Qi Jingpu (transliteration) and over a dozen other practitioners were locked in a basement for over a week with torture devices on. The situation is grave.
2. In the Labor Reeducation Camp of Jiamusi City, since the walk away of 11 Dafa practitioners, the practitioners who are still under custody have had worse living conditions than inmates under criminal charges. It has been learned that this labor camp pays its expenditure from revenue earned by sending prisoners out to work. But now they are having a hard time with sending prisoners out. Once they asked a beer factory, "Do you need hands? We can take the prisoners here to help." They were told, "We don't need your help even if we are short of hands since you are persecuting Dafa practitioners and infringing on human rights!"
3. Situations of some Dafa practitioners under persecution in Jiamusi University
• Huang Min, male, 57 years old, teacher in Jiamusi University. He was put in custody at the detention center for 6 months for going to Beijing to appeal in October 1999. He was arrested again for going to Beijing to appeal in June this year, and has been sentenced to labor camp.
• Yuan Yuqin, female, 54 years old, chief of the Finance Section in Jiamusi University. The 615 Office (in charge of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners/by translator) of the city arrested her on midnight of September 9, 1999 and detained her for over 120 days. She was expelled from the Party, deprived of the bonus salary that she deserved. She was denied salary increase, and her phone has been monitored constantly.
• Liu Shucheng, male, over 60 years old, teacher in Jiamusi University. He was tailed by security guards when posting "Falun Dafa Is Good" on November 19 this year, and then thrown into the detention center. His home was ransacked, and Dafa books and Teacher's portraits had been confiscated.
• Wu Fengqin, associate professor of Chemistry Department. She was sent to a labor camp for going to Beijing to appeal.
• Zhao Wanqi (teacher), Xu Fumin, Meng Xiangli, all three were thrown into the detention center for going to Beijing to appeal.
• Wang Dazhi, a student in Electrical Engineering Department. He was suspended from school for a year for practicing Falun Gong on campus.
• Huang Yanying, Ma Hongbo, students of Information and Electronics Institute. Both were dismissed from school for merely going to Beijing (without doing anything else).
• Wang Ping and Zhang Baojun, a couple, are both professors in Jiamusi University. On November 18 when spraying "Falun Dafa Is Good", they were arrested by patrolling security officers and put in the detention center. Their residence was ransacked three times the next day.
4. Security guard Liu and entrance guards Huang and Liu of Jiamusi University caught hold of a senior lady who was posting "Falun Dafa Is Good" near the university entrance. The university authorities promoted the evil by suppressing the good, and awarded the three 1000 Yuan (average monthly salary is around 600 Yuan in urban areas in China). Each of these three ignorant evil guards received 300 Yuan. The remaining 100 Yuan was spent on treating other security guards in the security section in a restaurant.

• Zhang Shaozhi, Party Secretary and President of Jiamusi University. In order to stack up political chips for securing his position and possible promotion, he is hell-bent to assist the evil in carrying out the persecution. Even during his attending classes in the Central Committee's Party's School, he is still remotely controlling his running dogs to persecute Dafa practitioners. • Lin Jingfan, Party Secretary of the Electronics Engineering Department of Jiamusi University, male, 48 years old. This person viciously attacks Dafa, engages in inhumane persecution against Dafa practitioners, and has become an important accomplice to Jiang Zemin and his evil kind. In his self-statement of so called "three-emphasis" campaign, he claimed, "The government is not exerting enough strength in punishing Falun Gong, and thus has caused difficulty in carrying my own [persecution] work." • Mei Tonghua, a division chief in Jiamusi University, is an evil natured person. In collusion with Lin Jingfan, he went to instigate all over the place with regard to Professor Huang's appealing. He strongly demanded that Professor Huang be sent to a labor camp, and told police officers in charge of this case, "If you don't send Professor Huang to labor camp, I will file law suits against you!"
